IIT BHU secured 510 position in the QS World Ranking 2027 with a score of 32.1.
Regarding infrastructure, it has old buildings and classroom I agree with this but the institute is constantly upgrading their infrastructure and about the facilities it has got all facilities which is needed for the overall development of a student and has sufficient equipment in laboratories and the labs are also well maintained
I am studying Civil Engineering here at IIT BHU and till now I had a great experience over here, the teachers are very helpful and are willing to help u even at midnight, the TA are also good and helps u and clears ur doubt. The doubt classes are also good and clears all the concepts
Best placement, just these 2 words are enough to define IIT BHU. Every year almost each student gets placed in different domain such as core , sde, quant , data analytics etc. The placements are also top notch for non circuital branches
For me 1st semester costed me about 90k. This much amount of fees is very reasonable compared to the other colleges meaning private colleges. I feel like after graduating the money which I will be spending through these 4 years will be back to me in just 2-3 years
Best feature about campus is the greenery and cleanliness of the campus. The worst is that it's an open campus so anyone can come which causes trouble to students. The teaching staff is one of the best over here
Our college infrastructure is fine , it has all the facilities and equipments required.Classrooms are good , laboratories , library and sports centres are excellent while hostels are fine. They have good WiFi facilities . Living places are well maintained and have hygienic food
Academics is chill here .We are studying all the the subjects that are required to be studied in college . Quality teachers are there in IIT BHU . Definitely our college teaching is job oriented, curriculum is updated according to the needs
Placements here is never an issue . Due to its great alumini network , placement and training cell working day and night so as to indulge all its students with skill and leadership . Our college has a great startup culture as well.
Course cost here is a little bit out of range but all the money being invested here will definitely worth in future because of its good academics, great alumini network and more importantly because of its placement scenerios.
Campus Life here is outstanding, all I can count is its pros only , students can engage in any activity they are interested in ranging from art and craft to sports .All the students especially seniors , teachers and support staffs are helpful. Location of IIT BHU is one of the best among IITs ,it is present in the holy city on the bank of river Ganges. It is safe and can handle emergencies very efficiently
Academic buildings are more or less modest. Many lecture halls are old- fashioned with the traditional blackboard & chalk (which is not bad at all). Though many of these support projectors, not many professors make use of it. The acoustics within the lecture halls is average & students sitting at the back generally find it difficult to grasp the lectures efficiently. Lack of air conditioning makes it seemingly impossible to sit in these halls during the scorching hot summers. The hostels are nice
Many a times people have struggled to find books which they need in the library. It may be due to highly disorganized way in which the library keeps the books. One can find a mathematics books in the physics section, a chemistry one in computer science's section etc. There's no specific place to look for a particular book even with the reference from book catalog. Besides, there seems to be a dearth of popular course-books. Hence, their availability is governed by the first-come-first basis.
engineering institutes in India when it comes to placement. The placement rate has consistently been more than 100%. Best companies like Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Oracle, L&T, Tata Steel, Reliance, Infosys etc visit the campus and recruit candidates every year. The average CTC package varies for different branches, but is pretty decent. Due to lesser amount of academic workload many people also prepare for and qualify other competitive exams like UPSC, CAT, GRE etc.
According to media reports, the highest package offered during IIT BHU placements 2023 stood at INR 1.2 core per annum. The top recruiter that offered the highest package was Graviton Research Capital. Apart from this, more than 1,000 offers were made including 305 PPOs during IIT BHU Day 4 placements 2023. Moreover, a total of 308 companies visited the campus on the first day of IIT BHU placements 2023. After seeing this placement stats this is understood how valuable the college is.
The students are undoubtedly the biggest asset to the institute. Various activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students, right from the scratch. Kashiyatra, the annual cultural festival of the institute attracts, although not much, but still ample crowd from universities across India, to witness the awesome display of talent by the IIT (BHU) student fraternity inspired the lifestyle of the Holy City. Various clubs like Western / Indian Music Club, Cine Club, Literary Club etc function.
I have tried to judge on the basis of general observation, as far as possible. Exceptions are and will always be there
Infrastructure is not the best you want as it 100 years old institution. Labs are good and well-equipped. Hostels are old style. New hostels is also constructing. Wi-Fi is available in hostels. Mess food is very good. All the sports facilities are available .
Teachers in our department are very good. Not very strict. They are qualified, helpful and knowledgeable and teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is old not updated. In our department event you will get everything required for placement.
Most of the students got placed. Only those who wants higher studies don't sit for placement. The highest packeg is 1.5 crores grabbed by only one student in 2019. the lowest is around 10 Lacs and average package is around 20-22 Lacs. All the big companies that recruits from india comes to our college Most of students got internship. Big companies like google and Microsoft comes for internship.
Infrastructure wise our college is good, not the best but all the necessities are met. Wifi is present everywhere and maintenance is good. Our student activity center has all the sports equipment and has ac as well.
Academics is good here, teachers teach well and if you pay enough attention then you can understand everything. Our curriculum is updated but there are certain unnecessary courses too and if the system removes them then it would be the best curriculum out there.
Placements are awesome here, almost everyone got a decent job or internship. Cse and Mnc saw the highest average package with 32 and 37 lpa respectively. Even the core branches had an average package of above 2 lpa.
Overall a decent college
College has a large campus area of 1300 acres and building is made in somewhat old style. It's an open campus IIT as it comes inside the BHU campus and BHU campus also has IMS and science and arts department.
Professors are very chill and they teach and explain the concept very nicely. We feel free to ask any doubt in the class. We also have tutorial classes in which problem solving of taught concept is done.
We have an excellent placement record with a highest CTC of 1.2 cr in 2022 and 24.2 lac average CTC. In my branch department of pharmaceutical engineering there is 100 percent placement and highest was 70lac.
Overall IIT BHU is an amazing place to learn and grow.
Everything is good, but In comparison of other IITs infrastructure is not that much good . IIT BHU had a open campus,it has pros and cons too.people from outside just come here for walking, but sometimes it is helpful.there are some restrictions on students like first year and girls students hostal is closed after 10 in night.
Academics is good, coding culture is very good in IIT Professors are good except some of them.classrooms, furniture etc. Are decent.laboratory are also good , but some of them are too old ,but it will help to learn new things.
Placements are good in IIT BHU. According to statistics IIT BHU ranked 3 among all the IITS after IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi. Most of studenta are placed . Coding culture is very good. This year average placements of CSE and mnc is 34 and 38 lac par annum respectively
IIT BHU fees is 242000 per year
Campus Life is good ,there are many clubs ,sports facilities are very good .
IIT BHU is decent college.
Building and hostel are very old but new ones are in progress, good wifi connectivity across the campus and great sports facilities, academic is good with highly qualified professor, food and other facilities are like other hostel.
As it is IIT so research and further studies opportunity is great, with talented professor but curriculum is still the same as 10-20 years old. You can explore as there are many clubs which will help you in your overall developmemt.
Highest placements of 2022-23 was 1.2 Cr of MNC and maximum where placed in civil branch highest was around 43 lac with average of 19 lac. There is training and placements cell which helps you in your placements journey.
Fees of IITBHU is around 1.3 lac per semester. It is value for money. It is among the oldest engineering college of the country.
Best part is the 1300 acres campus it is large but worst part is the same you need to travel large distance for going to attend lecture
As IIT you should think for it.
Our college infrastructure is good but some building are old. Our hostel is well maintained and well equipped. Our classroom is well maintained.wifi has good speed.Food is best among all iit.Cleanliness is maintain in our hostel and campus.
I am studying civil engineering here. Our professor are very knowledgeable and have deep knowledge of subject. Professor are really very helpful and friendly, if you pay enough attention then you can understand the subject easily.
Placements are just awesome in our college, the average placement is pretty high in circuital branches and even in the core branches its good. Cse and mnc had an average package of 32 lpa and 37 lpa respectively. In our branch it is 19 lpa, and most of the students got a job.
It's an iit so of course it is value for money cause whatever you spend here in 4 years is way less compared to what you will earn later in your life. Our average total spend in 4 years is almost 10 lakh.
College life is just awesome here, the peer group is quite unique and everyone possesses some unique talent. The teachers and the staffs are quite friendly. You will have the exposure for everything you wish to do. College is a safe premise and you will not face any issue here.
Overall our college is a decent one with almost every facility you could ask for, and since it's an iit, you will get enough respect in society as well. Placements are also quite awesome so if your rank affords it, do consider our iit as an option.
Our college is well equipped with all the necessary facilities. Infrastructure is just okay in my opinion, like it's old and not very well maintained but it's nothing to worry about. Sports Centre and hostels are quite good, our sac and library is well equipped and has wifi and ac. Wifi is also available in the whole campus and works well.
I'm doing btech and mtech dual degree in mining engineering. Quality of teaching is good, teachers are good but not every student is able to understand them, overall academics is fine in my opinion. Curriculum is updated I think but not very much, there are still some traditional subjects being taught that we do not need in future.
Placements is quite good in our college, and at par with some of the top iits. Most of the students got a good package. Cse had an average package of 32, while mnc had a package of 37, overall good placements with some awesome international offers too.
It's definitely value for money, cause whatever you pay here for 4-5 years is too less compared to what you'll get after passing out from here. You would definitely have a respect in society, and enjoy a lot because of the freedom we have here.
Campus life is quite good, we enioy a lot in our hostel and in our campus. There's a lot of eating outlets, and shops for almost everything you need. Teachers and staffs are quite friendly and i did not have any issue related to them. The campus is safe as well, do not worry about it.
Overall our college is decent, not that much good compared to other iits but still better than most of the colleges out there. If your rank affords it, do consider it as an option. The placement is the most awesome thing about our college and you'll definitely love your time here.
