Yes, my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. The facilities in my college are classrooms, laboratories,1 sports center and hostels with wifi. They are all used and well-maintained. The living spaces and food are hygienic. The infrastructure can be upgraded for hostels other than DG-2 and New Girls Hostel
I am studying materials science and technology. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is good but needs to be updated but needs to include all the recent developments in the field. We have to study a bit extra except our course if we want to study except our own branch unless with projects provided it is good for getting a job.
The quality of the placements has been good. The percentage of students who got placed was about 65-70. The highest salary offered was 1.2cr/annum and went to a CSE department student. The average salary offered was 17-18lakhs/annum. The placement process was good as told by our seniors and easy. Yes, my college was supportive.
Our institute is one of the oldest in our nation due to which all the buildings of the Institute are pretty old except 2 hostels all other buildings are very old. Also maintenance including the department complexes, labs, workshops, lecture halls. I feel that a lot of improvement can be done with the funds allotted by the Ministry Of Education.
Few courses have been updated in the past decade. Recently the facility of open electives started from last year, but due to a limit on number of students per course very few students can get the opportunity from it. Also I feel that a lot of new updates can be done to modernise the courses.
I'm proud to say that placements wise our college IIT BHU Varanasi is very exceptional all over the nation. Every year more than 97% students get placed during the placement season. I feel that there still is room for improvement in this sector.
Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. My college has classrooms, laboratories, libraries 1 sports centre and different hostels for different years. Each room has a wifi connection in it. They are all used and we'll maintained. The living spaces are clean and well maintained.
I am studying in the branch Ceramic engineering because this was the best branch in best IIT at my rank. The quality of teaching is quite good. The curriculum is good but need's to be updated a bit and it mostly includes all the recent developments in the field. We have to study a bit extra except our course for being job ready.
The quality of placements have been phenomenal. 80-85 percentage of students get placed in top companies like Google to new age startups like Dunzo. The highest salary offered was 1.2 cr/annum and it went to a student from CSE branch. Average salary offered was around 19.5-20 lakhs/annum. The placement process was easy and good according to our seniors. Yes my college was supportive.
Our college had okayish kind of infrastructure but since 2021 ,they have continuously improved the same and are still doing it.At this point of time ,I can say it has well established infrastructure and all required facilties.About maintenance , some buildings are lacking it. Overall ,it is great.
I believe that academics here is outstanding and perfect. Our professors have extremely wide range of knowledge of advancement in their concerned field. We have various kinds of machines and a vast variety of labs.
Placements are awesome.Highest was 1.2 Cr to cse.All students were placed.Placement process was extremely smooth and pleasant.Average for mechanical branch was 20.6 lakh, cse was 32.8 lakh, eee branch had 26 lakh.Refer to media club@iit bhu for placement reports.
Absolutely great!!Its value for money is perfect. It cost around 2,15,000 for tuition fees and 30,000 for mess and hostel charges for people with parent income >6 lakh.for parental income >1 lakh and <6 lakh tuition fees is around 1,50,00 and mess fees is same. For parental income <1lakh ,tuition fees is 20,000 and mess fees is 15,000.This distribution is great.
We have huge advantage of open campus. Its best feature is huge campus size.Worst is the lack of some meet-up places. Some departments are really close to hostels but some far, so some kind of vehicle or bicycle is advisable.
At first I had a really hard time adapting to this place of environment but I adjusted well later on.I am really happy I got into this college.
Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The facilities are classrooms, laboratories,a sport centre and different hostels for different years. They are well maintained and used. The living spaces are clean and food is hygienic.

IIT BHU does have all the necessary infrastructures that a standard college should have, but with respect to standards expected from IITs, better lecture theatres and seminar halls are expected. Coming to facilities and equipment it is excellent. Some of the instruments in department laboratories are not functioning. The reading room of the libraries could have an extended time limit. The sports centre and grounds are stupendous. Yes, the living spaces are clean and the food is hygenic.
I am currently studying in the materials science and technology department and I got this branch because it was the best branch at the best IIT for the rank I got. The quality of teaching is good and is quite good. The curriculum is quite nice as the branch is quiet compared to other branches and mostly includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes mostly it makes the student job-ready but students have to read a bit extra for job readiness.
The quality of placements has been quite good. 65-75 per cent of students got placed in the initial round of placements. The highest salary package offered was 1.2 crore per annum and it went to a student from the branch CSE. The average salary offered was 18-19 lakhs per annum. The placement process was easy according to our seniors. Yes, my college was supportive of placement.
Yes my college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. My college has classrooms, laboratories , more than 1 library and 1indoor sports centre and different hostels for different years. It also has wifi in hostel rooms. The living spaces are clean and food is hygenic
I am studying materials science and technology because it is one of the core branches and I am interested in core research. Quality of teaching is quite good. Curriculum is good and updated and include many recent developments in the field as the branch is quite new relatively to other branches . Yes it makes us job ready but we have to study a bit extra for job- ready.
Placement is quite good at my college. 70-75 percentage students got placed who sat for placements. Highest salary was 1.2 cr/album and it was offered to a student from CSE. The average salary was 18-19 lakhs. The placement process was easy as told by our seniors. Yes my college was quite supportive.
Our college has a decent amount of infrastructure as some iit should have. Facilities and equipments are quiet good here . We have Wifi in whole campus and sport center for sports. We have great hostels with proper hygiene.
I am in the material science and technology branch which is mainly a research and development field.I am interested in pursuing higher studies in future so this was the best college that i could get from my rank.We have some very helpful professors who try to stay in touch with the industry so that it can get us placed.
The placements and PPOs were quiet good this time.70-80 percentage students got placed. Highest package offered is 1.2 cr anum. The average salary offered differs from branch to branch but it was around 17-18 lakhs per anum. The placement was quite good as told by our seniors and college was quite supportive.

Average salary offered was 17-18 lakhs per anum. The placement process was quite good according to our seniors. Yes my college was supportive.
New boys hostel DG-2 is very decent. Fully equipment with relevant furniture and good space. But the problem of having a good place to live with a cost of sacrificing good food. The mess food is not up to the mark (Eatable Only). Other hostel mess are very good they serve you with healthy and delicious meals (should try every mess).
Teachers are good and experienced. Some professor are chill. They will not bother you about attendance but it is not the case always. Our department is good with teacher having a great research background and overall staff is very nice.(But believe me, your going to study only just a day exam)
I dont have much ideas about placements ... but I guess the Avg package offered was around 18 lac per annum till now in first round of placements at material science and technology (IDD). And the highest package was around 35 lac...
Campus life is amazing. Although you might not get the best infra and facilities in here. But believe me the people here will compensate for it 100%. You will meet some of the most extra ordinary people here. The vibes really hits different in here.
