It is one of the premier institute of India which have eye-catching infrastructure with modern equipment. The research facilities are appreciable for carrying out independent research works. Hostel rooms are provided with 24*7 internet facilities. Hostel foods are hygienic. It has study environment and the faculties are sound in respective subject.

I was pursuing PhD in Bioenergy and Bioremediation research area. The research facilities were very good. The quality of research works are very productive in IIT Guwahati. Students are technologically advanced and very sharp in industrial sectors.

Job placement is good here. Different agencies and institutes hire students every year. Students are placed in reputed company with adequate salary packages. Generally the salary packages falls between 33 lacs to 1.2 crores per annum.

It is almost 48,000 INR per year which includes hostel fees, tuition fees, and mess fees.

The campus of IIT Guwahati is one of the green campus among other Institutes of India. Students are engaged in different activities apart from curricular activities. There are many festive occasions celebrated every year in campus.

Yes, the college has amazing campus with all the needed facilities. It has an area of about 700acres. It has necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. The laboratories in our university are all equiped with up to date equipments. It has campus wifi and a very speed LAN wire connections in our hostels. It do has smart boards too. The living space i.e our hostels are good and the food is amazing too but somedays they are not up to mark?. There are a total of 12 hostels in our campus.

I am studying Btech in CSE. Here the best branch for Btech is CSE because if its infrastructure and faculties. The CSE department has world class featured labs and classrooms. Yes the cirriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Coding in different languages like C,C++,JAVA,etc. makes me job ready.

The placements are overall good and the best for CSE department here. The CSE department in 2020 has recorded a very good placement record with 85 students placed out of 86 i.e. 98.83% placed with highest package being 1crore per annum and average package being 20LPA. The department is too supportive and placment process according to me is a quite challenging one.

The overall fees for four years is around 8-9lakhs here. Yes we are getting the money's worth with the best classroom and hostel failities here. The campus is beautiful too. And the ROI is good too. A CSE student after investing 9lakhs and 4years of time can get an average package of 20lakhs which is too good.

The campus life is best. It is situated in the north bank of guwahati. It is placed in a pleasant place. Its campus is also too natural and is considered as one of the beautiful IIT campus. There are many facilities here like indoor and outdoor games, etc. A person can enroll in any of tbese. It is a safe place to live in. And last not least the annual fest of IIT Ghy Alcheringa is the one everyone awaits for. Its the best fest i have ever seen❤

I am happy after joining this college and so if anyone wants to join such a prestigious college then please prepare well for IIT JEE Advanced and crack it. You will be able to get the experience here.

im currently in bdes 2nd year which I got through uceed and quality of teaching is really good with well experienced profs with years of onsite experience curriculum is currently being updated with introduction of ai and ml

the quality of placements has been consistent or rather getting better every year with an increase in annual packages and satisfaction getting really good companies for tier 1 placements and having a really outstanding experience

I am currently registered under general category with a fee of around one and and half lakh per annum including mess and hostel fees yes definitely getting my money worth out of the institute with acmes to facilities with no extra cost makes it really worth it

College infrastructure is the best. No doubt IIT GUWAHATI has too many good hostels and also with very good facilities. College have sac buildings for club activities. Guest houses are no less than a perfect 3 star hotels. Morever Library, computer center, lecture halls all are beautifully builted.

About academics in civil is bit good. In the first year all have same subjects. In 2nd year you will study core subjects like geology, structural analysis etc. These all are interesting in academic point of view.

Pacements in civil are ok type. Core placements are increased in recent years. Non core like in SDE are good. Sticking to core if you choose civil is a good option in my view. You can also go to non core, there are ample number of companies that come in non cores.

Course actually costs around 1.5 lac per sem which includes all hostel rent, mess, tution fee all. I guess money is worth because facilities that IIT campus provide is worth for this amount.

Our Campus is one of the most beautiful campus in all over India. The climate and the natural beauty which covers all over the campus makes it just perfect. College has various clubs like cultural, dance, social, etc. Overall IIT GUWAHATI is a very good option to choose as a dream college.

Great.Content Curator IIT Guwahati inaugurated its 2020-21 placement season on December 1, 2020. The entire process was conducted online, wherein a total of 69 offers were made. On Day-2, a total of 486 offers were made which also included 133 pre-placement offers (PPOs). The packages for domestic offers have witnessed a sharp rise to about INR. 70 LPA this year. The highest domestic package offered this year is said to be higher in comparison to last year’s INR. 52 LPA.

Good placement and almost 70 percent of the students have been placed with average package of 12-14 lkhs and the CCD cell is well enough and informs u earlier for the jobs and they train you separately in the domains of work

Mine being PhD it's a bit less about 1lkh per annum and it's absolutely money's worth as u get the best exposure of all kind right from the soft skill to industrial interaction that ultimately helps to get into the best jobs

One of the nature's best campus across the IITs and only if the food a bit good then everything will be fine . There are lots of sports cultural and technical events which students can participate and there is always support from teachers and personal interaction also good . We have a separate medical facility handling the health of the campus residents and it's quite safe

I would definitely recommend to be a part of the IIT fraternity and study at IIT Guwahati. I will always cherish the life here after being an alumni also in future also it provides you a alumni card which enables u to be in touch with them lifetime

Yes, being one of the top 7 engineering institutes in the country, infrastructure is surely not an issue in our college. With proper hygiene, extremely well internet facilitied with speed more than 100mbps, well built and maintained lecture halls and academic complex, fully equipped laboratories with every facility required for students, the infrastructural development in our college is one of the best to be seen.

I am pursuing btech from mechanical engineering. I will say, i am satisfied with the academic experience here so far. There are few professors in our department who are vastly experienced in their fields, and it just feels amazing to learn something from them. Yes, our curriculum is inline with the needs in the industry currently. All the courses and labs we have are well designed to make us ready for future challenges in different subfields of the mechanical industry.

While rest of the others things are quite good, the placements are fine but not good enough. The proportion of non core companies for placement is much greater than that of core, and subsequently, students go on to pursue that, and being a two way traffic, there is significant lack of core companies coming for campus placements.

Totally worth it. I do not recall the exact fee structure but overall its around 6 lacs more or less for entire 4 years. The facilities and experience we get here is extraordinary. This college imparts not one, but many crucial values to our lives, and i don't ever feel that even a single penny is getting wasted here.

The best thing, of any college infact, is the campus life itself. Our college has one of the most beautiful campus in entire country. Built alongside the river brahmaputra and with an abundance of greenery, one can truly adore nature here. Also the in campus lakes add further to its beauty. The teachers and support staff are nice and always help us. There are all sorts of students from all parts of the country which , in a way, is one of another amazing features.

Overall, i would say, if you work hard enough and get selected, i assure you, this college would feel totally worth it. One should not even think twice while selecting this college as along with amazing academics and infrastructure, it has a lot to offer.

The college has outstanding infrastructure. It is a sprawling green campus of 700 acres and often considered amongst one of the most beautiful IITs. The labs are well equipped with all the instruments and the overall infrastructure is pretty well maintained.

Being an IIT you can obviously expect the academics to be better than the 90% colleges of India. Most of the professors of our college are renounced scholars famous for their books or research work. However, most of them are pretty average at teaching as their teaching methodology tends to seem monotonic. Although you can definitely expect to find some outstanding professors here.

Placements, as one would expect are really good here. A good amount of companies visit the campus during the placement season. A lot of core companies and PSUs also come to recruit students. Big software and IT companies like Amazon and Microsoft also come to recruit students. Most of the students get placed with good packages.

The ROI of this college is really high as one would expect from an IIT. The semester fee is around 80,000(tuition fee only) which isn't high considering the amount of facilities the students are provided with.

The campus life is really good! Our campus has almost everything a student can dream to have in their college be it open air theater, good restaurants and cafes, handicraft shops, you name it and we have it here. The one downside to the campus location is that commuting to the main part of the city is a bit difficult and it is a pretty long journey.

Till now my experience with the college has been really amazing. It is a college filled with opportunities and students get a good amount of exposure of the tech industry. Moreover, you get to experience the much coveted and talked about 'IIT culture' and it truly is once in a lifetime kind of experience to the privilege to study in this prestigious college.
