NEHU Shillong Admission Process

For North Eastern Hill University admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. NEHU Shillong admission to BA LLB is based on the CUET UG exam, B.Arch admission is based on the NATA exam, B.Tech admission is based on the JEE Main exam

MA Education	First preference to the candidates having minimum 50% marks in graduation with majors in Education Candidates with 55% marks in B.Ed.may also apply

North Eastern Hill University M.Tech Admission Process 2026

First, meet the eligibility criteria.
Second, appear for GATE.
Third, the result will be declared and the cutoff will be released.
Fourth, candidates will be selected on the basis of merit scores of GATE.
Fifth, if there are insufficient GATE-qualified candidates, then the vacant seats will be filled through the university entrance exam.
Sixth, candidates appearing for the university entrance exam will be selected on the basis of their merit scores of the entrance test.
Seventh, selected candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.

North Eastern Hill University MBA Admission Process 2026

Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria.
Next, they have to appear for the MAT/CUET PG.
Fill out the university application form.
After that, candidates have to appear for group discussions and personal interviews.
The ratio of the candidates to be called for group discussion and personal interview to the number of seats will be 3:1.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the aggregate percentage of MAT score (80% weightage), group discussion (10% weightage) and personal interview (10% weightage).

Academics could have been way better if our professors taught up to date syllabus and taught in a more applicable and engaging way instead of only making us write notes. Just because the university didn't maintain the departments (only speaking of B.Tech) it could have been way better. Although for PG courses it seems to be decent after interacting with people pursuing the same.
