The college infrastructure is quite nice, the buildings and academic blocks are extremely pleasant. The overall ambiance of the campus is also very serene and peaceful. The laboratories are also very nice.
The curriculum is quite good. It is quite interesting. And the quality of education is good and improvised. The teaching is quality and notes are timely provided. The development is by far going quite fast.
The placements are scarce but nice. As it is a central university, the placements should be a bit more better. But overall it is not as bad. Let's hope in the near future the placement situation will be better than now.
As it is a central university, the fees is not as high as other universities. The admission fees and the semesterly fees is average and it is quite value for money. Compared to other universities it is quite affordable.
The campus is serene and beautiful. There are lots of trees and the overall environment of the campus is quite nice. A very nice ambiance and peaceful campus spread across a vast piece of land. It is quite nice.
The infrastructure of the Institution is more or less functions on satisfactory grounds. There is adequate number of labs and facilities for research work as well. The Library especially has an impressive collection of books and materials. If I have any gripes with the infrastructure, it would most likely be with that the campus needs more street lamps than is already placed and perhaps a faster WiFi connection for students. Otherwise, the campus is well-equipped with everything that is expected of a University. Guest houses are welcoming and comfortable for academics visiting from other universities as well. Students have ample space and opportunities to pursue their activities.
The University has some of the most capable minds teaching young people. I studied in the Department of English, and the faculty there is world class. The Professors are approachable and I am still in contact with them after years of graduation. They are willing to help the students out anytime, to the best of their abilities.
Unfortunately, we were the Covid batch and so were no able to explore much on that front. Ihis is also something that differs from Department to Department. During my short time in the campus, I was able to attend a few workshops that were geared towards developing soft skills and employability.
Being a Central University, the fees are quite affordable. This would actually be an understatement. Our fee rarely ever hurt our pockets even as students on a tight tight budget. As compared to what we were paying, the facilities and education given to the students is impressive to say the least.
Again, I had only three months of campus life along with the rest of the students at the University as the entire world went into lockdown thanks to the Pandemic. I’d say we had a lovely time in the Campus. The campus is vast and green and we’d often walk tirelessly corner to corner, eatery to eatery. Our seniors told us mahy stories of all the fun they had during their times as events and sports were a big part of their campus life.
Northeastern Hills University is a central university, and it has all the necessary infrastructures. It has clean classrooms and library, hostels and Wi-Fi connection in the campus. There are also projectors and sports facilities which are well used. Yes, the spaces are good, and food is hygienic.
the quality of the teaching in the university is exemplary. Teachers are very helpful and guidance in every aspect is assured by the teachers. I suppose, our curriculum is updated, and studying in this university makes us ready for the job.
I suppose the placements facilities are also available for the pre graduate students. I am currently in 1st year so i don't have any idea but what i have heard from my seniors is that the university also provides placement opportunities for the final years MBA students as well as other departments.
University is a central university so we don't have to spend much for academic purposes as compared to other private institutions.
Campus life is outstanding. We enjoy as and suffer at the same time. But it depends on us how we deal with our life in the campus.
I would like to let the students know that you should go for the central universities like this university for doing your Master degree or other professional courses.
My university has all the necessary facilities, classrooms, projectors, lab equipments and very good central library. It has a sport centresand and all the facilities and library is connected wifi. North Eastern Hills University is a central university run by the government and the campus is so clean and the atmosphere in the campus is so good. Living spaces and the food hygiene is so good.
I'm doing my M. com in this university and the teaching qualities we get are pretty good. Teachers are very professionals and they know how to handle with the students and make them understand about the topics and the lessons.
As of now, i am not sure about the placement opportunities being provided by the University, because we are not informed about the opportunities and i think there is no placement opportunities in the university.
It is very worthy to study in this university, but one have to go through the entrance exam and it's nit that easy to get admitted in the university, but once you get admitted you will never rgret of getting education at such cost.
Campus life is so good, clean and tidy. Weather of the Shillong is just awesome. Once you come to the University and this place you will love it. Campus is so big and clean.
I would suggest the students to appear for CUET or cetral university entrance exam and then if you're eligible surely you will see NEHU.
I had a great experience studying in NEHU. Its has all the necessary facilities and good infrastructure and also the campus environment is quite suitable for me comparing to other universities I have been
I am currently doing my masters Commerce and my major is Marketing. We have got the best senior professors in our department and I am lucky to be part of it being selected to be studying in one of the best central university in India
There are many campus interviews being held in the campus almost every month and the packages are quute good but I have not attended any of it so from my side I have not idea about it. Some of my classmate have attended the interviews but I see none being selected
Comparing to other universities the fees are negotiable. It is one of the cheapest University I have been. The admission cost around 3270
I had great experience and got to learn new thing from the people I met in the campus
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to pursue law from no other institute but the North Eastern Hill University. It was a delight when I cleared the entrance exam and got the admission. When i set foot in the campus, it felt like one of those series & movie type of campuses. It was one of the best experiences ever and I absolutely loved it. Moving on, the teachers , infrastructure, non- faculty members, etc. Everything was just on point. My favourite is the Library! Just love studying here!
With one of the best teachers in Meghalaya, NEHU has produced students of great calibre. They give their best in nurturing the abilities of the students in various fields which is what makes them special. They are extremely professional and help out in every way possible
Placement offers increase if you are living in Meghalaya, and graduate from the Nehu University. It is one of the best institutes to graduate from and hence the chances of you getting placed at a reputable company or land a good job increases.
Every penny was worth it! The knowledge I gained, along with the skills set I have broadened due to the numerous opportunities that were laid out in front of me are the true gems that I will always cherish.
Very very interesting! With all the facilities that you require to have a good and interesting campus life, everything is there. Great people as well to enjoy your college life with! A good enviornment that enhances everyone's mood and hence everything is better
I feel the infrastructure is basic but acceptable. The hostels are good but not great, especially for boys. The Wi-Fi facility is not great, especially in hostels. I had to survive without it. Labs are fine. Classrooms are fine.
All teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams are good and perfectly designed to test the real knowledge of students.
There is no system of placements in our college, but that is only for our course. The only package is the minimum since it is a central university. We had to make a portfolio and apply for internships on our own.
Good infrastructure with a nice environment. They have clean and hygienic washrooms. Food in the canteen is good and hygienic. Each Classrooms have green boards and projectors. Chemistry labs are well equipped with adequate number of materials.
For now academic is good and worth the money which I spend curriculum is also update this year they add design thinking and practical learning of IT in management as well they also running day to day activities to grow of analytical and statistical skills there is lots of discipline in the college.
Quite a few placement cell visits the campus but are one of the best companies. There is a career counselling department in the college itself that helps you with data, personality development and speaking skills for the placements.

Syllabus not updated. Less TLMs. Personally I wasn't satisfied with the marking system. Its not the cgpa system like the other universities it is the percentage system. And checkings were done in the old fashion manner where you are expected to write paragraphs instead of points(as a science student).

Best campus life.
NEHU PG admissions generally begin in May each year, with the specific timeline dependent on the National Testing Agency (NTA) CUET PG exam schedule. NEHU uses the CUET PG scores for admission to postgraduate programs.
The CUET PG exam for NEHU is typically held in March. Students need to qualify the CUET PG exam for admission. The application process for NEHU is online.
Hello,
With a rank of 166548 in JEE Mains, it might be difficult to get into NEHU (North Eastern Hill University) or any of the NITs through the regular rounds. However, you still have a chance in the CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) rounds, especially if you belong to a reserved category or if some seats remain vacant after the main counselling rounds.
In CSAB rounds, you might get a seat in some NITs or other government colleges, but the chances are low for high-demand branches like Computer Science or Electronics.
It's best to keep checking the CSAB counseling updates and be ready to accept any available options if they align with your preferences and location.
You can also use our JEE Main College Predictor Tool to predict which college you can get based on your scores.
Hope it helps !
