Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya has a pretty decent campus spread over a large green area. The classrooms are average not very fancy. New building are quite good in condition and the canteen serves decent food.
The college infrastructure lacked in a few areas in my time. The washrooms were dirty, the WiFi was bad. Everything else was good, there were good libraries. We had just one old buliding for our course but as of now it has been upgraded and shifted to a new building.
My college is extremely beautiful with great infrastructure and a big campus with greenery filled around. Our classrooms are well equipped with all the facilities. We have hostel and mess facilities also for both boys and girls.
If you scored 49% in class 12 and belong to the ST category. You may still be eligible for BCA admission at GGU (Guru Ghasidas university). GGU follows relaxed eligibility criteria for reserved categories like ST. While the general requirement is around 50% reserved category candidates often get relaxation of 5% or more depending on University norms.
You have a fair chance but make sure to check the official BCA eligibility criteria on the GGU website or admission brochure for the current year. Also, If admissions are based on CUET or another entrance test you will need to meet the cutoff accordingly
Hi dear candidate,
Generally, the minimum marks for BCA across major institutions in India is 50% and above with Mathematics, IP or CS subject mandatory in 12th class (this is the most basic criteria) however, few institutions also allow for admission with any subjects in 12th class with 45% marks and sometimes even some rebate for SC/ST category so, you should a college but do check criteria for respective college.

Hi!
Even though your 12th percentage is on the lower side at 49%, and you belong to the ST category does provide some additional consideration in the admission process. Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU) generally follows eligibility guidelines that include relaxation in marks for reserved categories like ST/SC.Typically, for BCA courses, the minimum requirement ranges from 50-55% for general students, but with ST reservation, the bar may be lowered slightly depending on the year’s seat availability and cut-off trends. It is definitely worth applying, as universities often evaluate such cases with flexibility under reserved seats.
