The service aims to help students make the best choice for the subject, choose a suitable career option and find a suitable job. The service carries out numerous activities to this end, including:

• One to one counselling to students who come to the Service office to help them make career-oriented choices and make a suitable career choice.
• Organization of workshops for new students to provide insight and guidance in their careers.
• Organizing workshops to provide students with specialist career information.
• Program to improve the language, communication, and soft skills of students (Personality Development).
• Enabling students to find suitable employment online through access to job portals.

Arrange campus and campus interviews to give students completing their courses job opportunities.

Most of the aid is free of charge. The registration fee for participation in high-cost Personality Development Programs (PDPs) and the specialised courses/programmes organised by the Service are nevertheless expected to be paid to students, with the help of agencies in the sector concerned. 

• The general aims of Career Advice and Placement University are as follows:
• To facilitate the interaction between academia and industry to bridge the gap between conventional and industrial needs.
• Identifying and promoting innovative courses that students follow to improve their employability.
• Help students make a career choice early and appropriately.
• Increased students' soft skills to improve their chances of success during an interview.
• Strengthening effective industrial relations to facilitate the appropriate placement of students.

The Service performs the following functions to achieve the stated objectives: 

• Carries out market research to understand the emerging employment trends and understand the changing requirements of the national and state economies in terms of human resources.
• Advising university authorities on the required changes to the content of the different academic disciplines to adapt them to the national economy needs and recommending the establishment of appropriate new courses.
• Provision of career-related information to students including existing employment opportunities and trends on the labour market.
• Facilitates the development of soft skills for university students in particular in field interviews and the job market in general, to improve their probability of success.
