IIT Ropar (IIT-RPR) Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

U get all the facilities over here except some in the main campus but these are available in its transit campus and also the campus is working on it . It has good sports facilities and labs are also good except some which are under construction.

U get good support from professor . Professor have personal TAs who help them to solve all the problems if still their is a problem or any confussion profs are ready to help . The academic part is therefore good.

As it is 2nd gen iit its placements are quite okk but not as that of old iits . But to improve this the head of department of placement is working very hard to solve the problem of placement . But as compare to other iits it is quite satisfying .

IIT Ropar has mind-blowing infrastructure.As it is second generation IIT it is constructed with modern techniques and thoughts. It is a peaceful campus spread over 525 acres in green village Ropar. is surrounded by hills and rivers .As it is in outskirts of village it is free from pollution. Classrooms are quite good.both manual and computerised teaching is thought at our institute. Apart academics it also well contributes towards sports and other cultural activities.

I am studying in the stream of mechanical engineering because I am passionate about machines. professors are highly qualified.most of them are ph.D students from best institutes Of world.we had foreign lecturers too.Our curriculum is up to date .I have full faith that I will graduates from college with a job in my hands.

Placements are quite good.nearly 50-60%students get placed every year from all streams.highest package is around 40lakh for anum ,and it is from Computer science stream. Avearage salary is 11lakh for anum.placement process is pleasant.I am college is supportive in every ascept.

I need not to pay any course fee. As it is government funded institute.

very good wifi connectivity-in hostel rooms,mess,lecture halls,departmental blocks,and in labs.library consists a wide range of books belonging to every aspect and very much intrresting thing is that we are having a very good laboratory equipments

very talented professors who has done their P.hd in very prestigious universities,and the way they teach is very practical.we will get any updates regarding the classes through gmail by the respective course instructor.

we get more number of companies fro the placements that to the companies which are providing the placements are very well known companies and they offer very good packages and we very good internship oppurtunities too.

the fee depends on which category you are from.for all sc,st studnts the institute fee is zero and for economically poor students also the institute fee will be zero.yes,abviously i feel that the fee we are paying is worthy

it is located near a town,ropar.our college occupies 530 acres of land.we have very good infrastructure.for each building we have all the facilities like ac......and we have trees all ovre th camps.ours is a eco friendly campus

i personally feel that this college is far better than many other IITs as we are mostly concentrating on the research part we learn everything very practically and we herer have many student activites to sharp our brain in every aspect

Each class is equiped with central ac. And each room have projectors used as smart boards. All the places in an out of the campus are hygienic with greenery. Labs are also equipped with all facilities.

I'm student b-tech 1st year in civil department I'm interested in construction side,moreover my jee rank also not a good one so i choosed civil engineering. Here the Ciricullum is very fine which was made by iim kolkata. Of course we can get placed if you give your 100% effort.

The placement cell looks fine. Nearly 80-85% were placed, generally cse students got high package. According to me the placement process may be an easier one. But our college give their maximum support for it.

For me it was fine.

Overall campus life gonna be an excellent one, you can explore many new things in your life. The location is little bit hard to reach but it can handle emergencies

Buildings are so good .in classroom sitting arrangement is nice. A.C in class.I think hostels are very good comparison to other iit. But sports grounds are very far from hostels.library and lab is good. Library is small but nice.

Teaching method is so good.in first year Ma101 course is so difficult for all student in all iit but our teacher is good and his teaching method is also nice.but some teacher is like damm.they don't know how teach student.

For Cs students placement is good.there avg 12 lacs packege for cs students but for other courses like mec.,civil the placement is not so good.they get avg. 5 to 10 lacs packege. But overall here student life is so good.seen

Its brand new IIT and we are the 1st year batch here. Never expected that infrastructure would be this good. Very good sports facilities, clean and hygenic mess and first class hostels. Its a big thumbs up.

As its an IIT, teachers are well qualified here. They have great knowledge of their subjects. They are keen to share it with students. Labs are up to date so is the syllabus. I am happy that I got here admission.

I am not sure about placements but the average package would be above 6lpa as per my knowledge. IIT Ropar is ranked 1st in research and if you are interested in research this is the place for you. Everything is fine.
