NEHU Shillong Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

NEHU Shillong boys hostel facilities include all basic amenities. The hostel rooms are well-furnished and well-ventilated. Students have to apply for hostel accommodation at the time of admission.

Hostel facilities are also available for girls students. NEHU Shillong girls hostel facilities include water, electricity, furniture, appliances and many more for the comfortable accommodation of outstation students.

NEHU Shillong medical clinic provides curative, preventive and promotive health services to the students, staff and faculty members with the help of medical officers. The medical clinic provides both basic and emergency medical services. Medicines are issued free of cost. The clinic also has a dressing room for dressing, injection and minor surgical procedures. Routine immunisation, first-aid, biochemical tests of blood and urine are also carried out. An ambulance facility for an emergency is available. Blood donation camps are also organised.

NEHU Shillong library facilities include a vast collection of books and reports for teaching and research purposes. The university central library also has national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers and magazines. 

The university has a sports department, which provides games like cricket, basketball, football, martial arts, athletics, table tennis, chess, badminton, etc for both boys and girls students. The department also conducts tournaments and coaching camps.

The university IT infrastructure provides good networking in the entire campus. The computer rooms are equipped with the latest computers to support the research and project work of the students and faculty members.

NEHU Shillong auditorium is a large hall and is used for organising events and seminars. The auditorium is fully air-conditioned and can accommodate a large audience.

NEHU Shillong guest house comprises guest rooms, RUAB cottages and apartments for international students. The guest rooms have further AC suites and VIP rooms. The rooms are well-furnished and have TV and intercom facilities. The university guest rooms have been a suitable accommodation for many national and international delegates.

North-Eastern Hill University gym facility is available for both boys and girls students. The gym is equipped with modern equipment and provides a trainer to guide the students.

The university cafeteria provides hygienically prepared fresh meals to the students, staff and faculty members at reasonable prices. The cafeteria is spacious and well-ventilated.

The university has departmental laboratories. NEHU Shillong laboratory facilities include modern instruments and apparatus for doing practicals.
