I was absolutely stunned by the massive size of the campus as it felt like a small-contained city to me. I found the Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering department and research laboratories well-equipped. I spent countless hours in the amazing central library.

IS iit Kharagpur agriculture and food engineering good or mining . Student want to go in software in future

if you want to make a career in software or IT, then both Agriculture and Food Engineering and Mining Engineering at IIT Kharagpur are not directly related to that field. However, students from these branches can still enter the software industry by learning coding, doing internships, and working on software projects. Between the two, Agriculture and Food Engineering may offer slightly better scope for data analysis or tech-related work.

With your SC category rank of 4165 in JEE Advanced, you do have a chance to get admission to the Architecture course at IIT Kharagpur. In the previous years, the closing rank for SC category in the B.Arch course at IIT Kharagpur was somewhere around this range, sometimes slightly higher or slightly lower depending on the year and seat availability. Your rank is quite close to the usual cut-off, so your chances are possible but may depend on how the seat allotment moves this year and how many candidates with better ranks opt for the same course.
