A minimum of 50% or 5.0 CGPA aggregate marks in Intermediate or 10+2 examination from a recognized central / state board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.Students scoring between 50–60% must meet at least one of the following criteria to be eligible:a. Score over 42% (85/200) in GAT and over 75% in X Standard.b. Score over 55% (110/200) in GAT.c. Score over 85% in X Standard.Additionally, such students must sign a waiver form if companies require more than 60% in Intermediate or 12th grade for placements
Admissions to the Institute are made along with the other Engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Telangana State. The admission pattern to B. Tech is as follows:
The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Telangana State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
1. 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the EAMCET.
2. 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates.
3. In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the ECET, under lateral entry scheme.
