You'll make memories for life

We have 24/7 Wi-Fi everywhere on the campus. Classrooms are very sophisticated with air conditioning. We have a vast library with a lot of books and air conditioning too. The college conducts many events related to sports and games. Food in the hostel mess is above average.

The teachers are well qualified, with many of them having Ph.D.s from renowned world universities. Their teaching is quite good. The curriculum is quite relevant and there are some things that need to be done to improve its relativeness to the current industry. The semester exams are normally quite hard and the fact that all the students are IITians who are graded relatively makes it even harder.

Around 80% of people get placed through CDC and the remaining people get their jobs off campus. The highest package in my department was 62 lakh per annum and the average was 20 lakh per annum. The top recruiting companies were Nomura and other consulting firms.

Sharing my reviews about IIT Kharagpur: So, the college is having a very big and wide campus, the infrastructure is also very good. High Network facility is also present. The sports and hostels facility is also their for students.

It has a very developed academic culture, students from core branches can learn a lot as teachers provide real world knowledge and for that the machines and other equipments are present. I think you will get a job easily if you give 2-3 hours a day to develop skills.

Amazing is the word, you will say as a Computer Science branch student you can easily bag nice packages as I did. The placement for other branches is also high and a lot of opportunities if you are really willing to take it..

The college is so beautiful the whole campus that you will thank yourself for choosing IIT kharagpur, it is having a very strong infrastructure and was built in 1951. Also the hostel rooms are very nice. You will enjoy the life in campus...

The teachers in IIT kharagpur are just amazing you will get a learn a lot from your teachers. Also do participate in the hackathons and other competitions regularly so that you can gain a good knowledge. Also make contact with seniors it is very necessary..

The placements of college in the famous branches is very nice and you will be satisfied with your first salary. I think the average package was higher in the year when I graduated from the previous year, and the alumni network is also very strong..

Amazing

IIT KGP has great infrastructure with all facilities; my department has AC classrooms with modern projectors to teach. Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus, and at the same time, library facilities are also good. We have a central library that has all the useful books. Free bus and medical services are provided inside the campus. The hostel provides all required facilities, including sports, proper electricity supply, furniture, etc. But mess food is below average.

All teachers are helpful; you approach them first and are well qualified. A few teachers are involved in some research. They thought so as well. Yes, the curriculum is relevant for my industry but a little modification is required. Marking is relatively new, so their are no fixed passing criteria. Their are two major exams in a semester, mid-semester and end-semester. Some courses are very tough and some are medium. Overall, the semester is above average.

The placement scenario at IIT Kharagpur for the previously placed batch looked very promising. In the 2023–24 placement season, a total of 1277 students were placed. In electrical engineering, the highest package offered was around 66 LPA, and the average package was approximately 23.3 LPA.

Good college.

You know my college is just great. I have completed by degree and lived the best years of my life. The infrastructure of IIT kharagpur is very well constructed. We have classrooms, laboratories in the college. Hostels amd Mess is also present.

The teachers I like most of them but some of them were quiet strict with me. But overall the academic facilities in the college are present. The curriculum is based on current technologies and we follow that only.

In the placement drive students get high packages and even go abroad if they have the offer. I also got nice package and I am into corporate since 2 years gaining the experience you can also get the same if you work accordingly.

The college infrastructure is very well developed. In the hostels also the rooms are big as compared to the no. of students. The laboratories are having some of the old equipments but they are updated regularly. The campus size is large.

We are being taught what actually requires in our field, in my branch you have to focus on academics as well as what you are doing side by side. The teachers will help you when needed but do focus on your skills development more.

The packages from IIT kharagpur are always top notch. The students are being placed in top companies since past many years whether it be META, AMAZON, MICROSOFT, NETFLIX etc. Even from lower branches the students word hard and get into top colleges.

The kharagpur IIT is built very beautifully. It has been with all the facilities that students require in their day to day life like Mess, Hostel, Library, canteen etc. It's campus is very big.. Spread in many acres of land..

It has highly educated teachers to teach students in bachelors as well as in masters also students connect with each other in code fest, cultural fest to gather and innovate . They share their ideas and work as team to develop their projects.

Being from a decent branch at IIT you will definitely get a high package else depends upon your skill set. The packages are high for branches like CSE, ECE and you can get it from any branch if you have developed the job oriented skills.

Nothing

The college is having very nice facilities no doubt why it is an IIT. It is having Libraries, Classrooms, Laboratories in which the students of very high capacity can accomodate easily. In the hostels their is full wifi facility.

Being an IIT , it should be great and it is exactly, the teachers that will teach you here are just amazing and no doubt why people want to get into IIT kharagpur. The quality of teachers is top class.....

The average package of more than 20 lpa from a lot of years at my time also the branch placements were more than expectation but many choose to either go for startup or get into further studying abroad or in IIM's for MBA.
