The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, commonly known as IIT Delhi, was established in 1961. Some of the popular courses offered in IIT Delhi include B.Tech, B.Des, MS, MBA, M.Tech, Dual Degrees, M.Des and many other courses offered by the institute. B.Tech fee in IIT Delhi ranges from Rs 8.55 lakhs to Rs 9.02 lakhs.
Admission to the B.Tech programmes at IIT Delhi is based on valid JEE Advanced scores. The IIT Delhi cutoff for 2024 has been released for B.Tech admissions. IIT Delhi admission to M.Tech and MS programmes requires GATE scores, while CEED scores are considered for M.Des programmes. For MBA admissions in IIT Delhi, valid CAT scores are necessary, and candidates must attend interviews for both M.Des and MBA programmes. Candidates who have appeared in the JEE Main/JEE Advanced exams in 2024 must participate in JoSAA Counselling 2024 for B.Tech admissions.
IIT Delhi has a placement cell that organises various training sessions and skill development programs. According to the IIT Delhi NIRF 2024 report, 676 UG students were placed with a median salary package of Rs 20.00 Lakhs. Candidates who qualified the Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam held in December 2022 - June 2023 wouldn't be eligible to apply for PhD programs at IIT Delhi based solely on their NET score.
IIT Delhi conducts its own independent entrance exams and interview process for PhD admissions. Qualifying the CSIR-UGC NET doesn't automatically guarantee admission into an IIT Delhi PhD program.

The researchers successfully incorporated nanostructures into a polymer matrix, which enhanced the film's surface roughness, polarizability, and hydrophobicity, among other characteristics, as a result. Due to the enhancement in the above property, the flexible film is used to fabricate the device where raindrops have just to slide down and can generate electricity. The artificially created rough surface allows to generate more charge and superhydrophobic properties of the solid surface help to roll the water drop without getting stick to the surface.
The IIT Delhi research team also explored the underlying mechanism of the electricity generated when the water drop comes in contact with the solid surface and it is shown that saline water drops generate more electricity.
