Online Microbiology Courses & Certifications

How many species of microorganisms do you suppose there are? Studies of late estimate that there could be around a trillion species! And the world has yet to discover 99.999 % of them! This is the job of microbiology. To study them.

Think about the friendly bacteria in your digestive system which breaks down food. Or those that can produce oxygen and are used to make antibiotics. Or the bad ones (bacteria, fungi, virus etc.) that cause diseases (pneumonia, TB to even pandemics) These little guys have caused such havoc! This is why microbiology is crucial. Microbiology courses have become a necessity in this day and age to create professionals who can make microorganisms as friends.

What is Microbiology?

It is the discipline devoted to the study of all microscopic organisms. (bacteria, fungi, viruses, algae and protozoa.

Microbiology is diversified and its applications are needed in medicine, clinical research, pharmacy, nanotechnology, agriculture, dairy industry, chemical technology to list a few.

 Who can pursue microbiology courses?

  • You have always been fascinated by small organisms. You always wanted to study them.
  • You then obviously have the sharp eye for detail, for after all it is microorganisms.
  • You have exceptional analytical skills and love to solve problems.
  • You want to make the world a better place.

Does this sound like you? Then microbiology courses are for you.
