Online Neurology Courses & Certifications

In the 21st century, more than ever, the need for expertise in neurology grows. Sadly, one factor for this demand is the alarming rate of neurological disorders that affect millions of people. On the other hand, neurology can unlock more secrets into the functioning of the human body.

The human body has a complex nervous system that coordinates the body movements.

There are many dangerous diseases that can affect the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles. And modern medicine has been trying to combat conditions and illnesses such as multiple sclerosis (MS), epilepsy, stroke and Parkinson's disease. The medical profession has recognised neurology as an essential element in health care. To become a professional in this field, you have a long way to go from UG courses to advanced degrees. You can also take Neurology certification courses to have a basic understanding, if you are starting out.

What is Neurology?

It is a discipline in medical science which focuses on the study of nerves. This involves researching and finding out about what all goes on with the nervous system. It involves diagnosis of different disorders related to the nervous system. There are many physiological functions of the human body such as behaviour, consciousness, waking up, sensitivity, sleeping, etc. which are all controlled by the nerves. Hence the study receives such imperative status.

Who can pursue Neurology courses?

  • You love medical science and your quest for knowledge have led you to here
  • You are already a medical professional (psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, etc.) and wishes to be up to date with the latest trends

Do any of the above reasons appeal to you? Then Neurology courses are for you.

Eligibility Criteria for Neurology courses

In order to practice neurology, you need to have the following criteria:

  • You must have (10+2) qualification with subjects (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology (PCB) and then pass entrance exams to get into UG courses. (MBBS
  • After that you can take a M.D. or DNB course for 2 years. You need 50% marks in MBBS and a good entrance exam score to apply.
