If you see in terms of faculty then I would suggest you to go for NIT Bhopal because the faculty members are way better then NIT surat at NIT Bhopal.
But if you look for placement then NIT Surat will lead here as the average placement of NIT

manit bhopal have higher percentage of placement for mechanical engineering for the previous years information. infrastructure wise the nit surat have more awesome structures and ranks better than the manit. the research facilities as well as the faculty members are good for the mechanical department of manit.

As far as last year results are concerned for admission in nit of your wish and course of your dream you need to have a percentile of about 95 plus . But that doesnt mean you cannot get admission in nits with this percentile . work more harder
