I go 93.6 percentile in jee mains. Can I get cs in nit bhopal. I m from obc category

Shubham Dhane 23rd Jan, 2020

Hello,

You can calculate your predicted rank using the below formula

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage  of people ahead of you. 869010 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam. So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

Your predicted rank is 55616 this is the predicted rank it will change after april attempt. But the last year cut off was 3079 for home state and 2404 for other state so with your rank you will not get seat in NIT Bhopal

i have git 90.2 percentile in jee main 2020 January. can i get manit bhopal on basis of state quota and i am general

manisha.gupta 21st Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

It's difficult to tell you the exact about the qualifying cutoff & admission cutoff. This score seems enough to qualify the exam but chances seems less to get MANIT Bhopal You can go for state level counselling. I would also suggest you to appear for JEE Main 2020 April Session again.

You may calculate your expected rank by this formula

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage  of people ahead of you. 874469 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam. So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

Using the formula

(100 - your total score) X 869010 /100

Your probable rank will be 85,162

You can also check your other admission possibilities to go through with the given below link.

percentile needed to take admission

Harsh Pandey 21st Jan, 2020
The admission in the colleges is based upon the rankings which come out after the percentile score is evaluated and this process is done by NTA after the April attempt . Every college has different ranking criteria though a person having a particular rank may be eligible to match the ranking criteria of more than one college ..then it's up to that Candidate that he chooses whichever he wants according to criteria. So we can't say about admission through percentile only.. we need to know the rankings too.. through percentile we can predict a person's rank by using the following procedure:--
  • To get the percentage  of people ahead of you :
(100 - your percentile)
  • And the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam were 869010 .
  • The formula to predict rank is-
(100 - your total score) x 869010 /100
  • Also if the number of candidates who apply for April attempt will increase to 1200000 then your final rank would be :
(100 - your total score) x (1200000)/100
After this you will get your ranking and then you may check your eligibility according to previous year opening and closing ranks and predict whether you may get admission or not.
Thank you.

i have got 84 percentile and i belong to obc-ncl. can i get nit or iiit?

Pratham Meghani 20th Jan, 2020

Dear Aspirant

Your percentile is 84 it means 84 percent students are behind you in the Jee mains exam.A formula is given by nta so the formula is

No of Candidates appeared in exam/100 *(100-Nta score). The total no of can apperared in the exam was 869010

So According to this formula your rank will be 139041.

But if the no of candidates in April attempt changes to 120000 then formula will be 120000/100*(100- Nta score)

At this rank to get any nit or iiit is quite difficulty so try your best in April attempt.
