NIFTEM-T Facilities

National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM-T), Thanjavur provides several infrastructural facilities to the students. For the comprehensive development and advancement of the students, infrastructure and facilities provided by any educational institution play a crucial role. Institutes now have realised the importance of technology and using it to the fullest to give the students practical knowledge about the course they are studying.

Most of the institutes now are installed with the latest equipment and tools which can be used to give the students a hands-on experience of a particular course. The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur also provides its students with top-notch facilities which are essential in the food industry and allow them to receive training about the various machines and instruments used in the food processing and food technology disciplines. Boys Hostel
NIFTEM-T has separate hostels for men with well-furnished rooms and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, reading rooms, television, and music rooms. The hostel messes provide nutritionally balanced, wholesome and tasty food. For the sake of recreation games like carom board, badminton, football, and cricket are available.
Girls Hostel
NIFTEM-T has separate hostels for women with well-furnished rooms and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, reading rooms, television, and music rooms. The hostel messes provide nutritionally balanced, wholesome, and tasty food. For the sake of recreation games like carom board, badminton, football, and cricket are available.
Medical/Hospital
The college has a health center with the first aid facility for the students.
Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students.
Library
The Institute library has more than 28742 documents consisting of Technical books, reports, standards, CD-ROMS, and back volumes of journals. The library subscribes to 54 periodicals (print) and 1500+ e-books besides a holding of 840 back volumes of journals. Wi-Fi facility has been provided for laptop users.
Sports
NIFTEM-T has excellent sports and recreation facilities on campus, with dedicated facilities for table tennis, volleyball, foot and ball badminton.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Cafeteria
The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
Laboratories
There are different laboratories in the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur. These laboratories provide the students training in the areas of food processing and food technology by giving them practical knowledge about the many disciplines of food and beverage industries. Research is also conducted in these multi-purpose laboratories with the help of the faculty at NIFTEM-T.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

College Infrastructure

This institute has 6 departments involving 2 centres of excellence. The college is a collaboration of academics with classrooms equipped with smart boards and recreational activities like sports. The laboratory facilities are good. The hostels are maintained well and equipped with WiFi 24/7.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure and facilities provided by college are top level. Which contains auditorium, seminar halls, hostels and accommodation facilities for parents also. Also there is a gym and various courts for playing various games including volleyball, tennis, badminton etc. Hostel is compulsory for all and mess is included in hostels. The quality of mess food is also good.
