I scored 36% in 12th because I didn't pay attention to studies at all and I feel I embarrassed for that, should I still prepare for cat or not, please tell me?

It’s okay to score low. Everyone has different reasons which sometimes leads to poor performance. However, when it comes to your career, I advise you to be open to different opportunities because in CAT most top B schools require minimum 60% in your class 12th. You won’t be able to clear basic eligibility criteria which might hamper your admissio process.
