NIT Andhra Pradesh Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers accommodation through hostels separately for boys. Students from other states and cities can avail for hostel accommodation. The hostels offer mess facilities to hostellers and internet connectivity for their academic purposes.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers accommodation through hostels separately for girls. Female students from other states and cities can also avail the hostel facility. Internet is provided to the students for academic purposes.

The institute offers a central library to students and staff where they can take reference from for carrying out their project. The library is equipped with thousands of books and journals from scholars around the world. Students can also simply use the library to enhance their knowledge with all the books and journals provided.

Sports facilities, including indoor and outdoor game equipment, are provided by the institute for student’s sports activities. Since sports activities are good for student’s overall development and mental health, all the required facilities are provided. Students are highly encouraged to make use of the sports facilities.

The health center is located within the campus, and the institute has one full-time medical officer and 5 other paramedical staff to attend to the medical needs of the students, staff, and their family members. In case of emergency, an individual can be evacuated to the nearest State Government hospitals.

The college has a Computer lab facility for Students.

NIT Andhra Pradesh has a guest house within the campus. The guest house is named as ATHITHI Guest house. It is operated as a non-profit activity to mainly support the academic and research activity on the campus with a homely atmosphere and ambiance traditionally acclaimed for its environs of hygiene and food of homely relish and richness. In the athithi guest house, one presidential room, four suite rooms, sixteen rooms (ten double bed and six single bed rooms), one driver room are available. The rooms are air conditioned and also have other amenities. In addition to rooms, a separate kitchen, dining hall and conference room is available.

The ATHITHI guest house is a facility of the institute and its maintenance charges are highly subsidized. Still, an attempt has been made to provide all essential services to the guests. While all steps are taken to ensure hygiene and comfort, frills such as persons to carry luggage, room service of meals, meals outside designated hours etc. have been dispensed with.

NIT Andhra Pradesh is providing one mess for Girls hostel and two messes for boys’ hostels to cater the food and other eatables which will be run on a cooperative basis for the boarders of the hostel and all borders have to join the mess compulsorily.
