Master degree in Anthropology/Sociology/Tribal Studies/Law or any other relevant discipline of Social Sciences or equivalent with 55% marks ( 50% for SC/ST applicants).

Ph.D. in Tibetan Language and Culture.
Acharya or Master degree in Buddhist studies/Philosophy/Theology/Comparative Philosophy/History/Sanskrit/Pali/Linguistics/Library Science/Social Anthropology/ Political Science/Languages or Monastic qualification of Thorim with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST applicants).
Selection process for CUJ M.Phil/ Ph.D program in various disciplines.
- Selections shall be done based on the basis of entrance test followed by interview.
- Applicants who have qualified UGC-NET-JRF or UGC-NET (Lectureship) or are holders of any other fellowship gained through national level exam shall be exempted from entrance test.

- The application form is to be downloaded, filled and sent as an attachment to the following email address – research@ cuj.ac.in
- Separate application is to be made for each course.
- The application form SHOULD NOT be sent by either Post or in Person. Such applications shall not be entertained.
- Applicants shall be called for a written test followed by an interview. Outstation candidates should prepare themselves accordingly.
