The selection of the candidates for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme 2020-22 batch will be carried out in two phases.
In the first phase, the eligible candidates as per the eligibility criteria [A] mentioned above will be shortlisted for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) from amongst the candidates, who have applied to the MBA programme. The candidate must have a valid CAT score securing a minimum overall percentile score as well as minimum sectional percentile score as mentioned in Table 1.

IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (a deemed to be a University under Section 3 of UGC act 1956), for students seeking admission to the MBA / PhD programs of IBS Bengaluru and IBS Hyderabad.
IBSAT is a computer-based test (CBT) that consists of multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant's ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
GMATTM/ NMAT by GMACTM/CAT/XAT scores (from 2023 onwards) are also accepted in place of IBSAT 2025. Candidates with GMATTM, NMAT by GMACTM CAT and XAT scores are exempted from IBSAT 2025.
IBS Admissions are open through CAT/NMAT by GMAC™/XAT/GMAT™ scores only.

The ICFAI University, Dehradun, The ICFAI University, Jaipur and The Icfaian Foundation accept IBSAT 2025 / GMATTM/ NMAT by GMACTM/CAT/XAT scores (from 2023 onwards) for admission to the following programs:
Candidates who have qualified based on IBSAT 2025/ GMATTM /NMAT by GMACTM/CAT/XAT score are called for the selection process.
This process is scheduled to take place from February 2026, at the IBS Hyderabad campus in Hyderabad.
The selection process comprises of Micro Presentation and Personal Interview.
The Micro-Presentation component aims to provide a focused assessment of a candidate's communication and presentation skills, along with their ability to think and organize thoughts quickly.
IBSAT Bulletin can be purchased through one of the following methods by payment of Rs 1800.
The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidates in Micro Presentation and Personal Interview.
IBS Admissions are open for IBSAT 2025/CAT/NMAT by GMAC™/XAT/GMAT™ Score Holders
Eligibility Criteria
1] Bachelor degree with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) out of 10 from institutions/universities incorporated by an act of parliament or state legislature in India or other institutions declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India or AICTE or AIU or reputed foreign university.
2] Candidates in final year of the degree and those awaiting results can also apply. The applicant should have secured an aggregate of 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) or equivalent till the latest exam that has been completed and whose scores are available. The admission will be subject to candidate fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
3] CA, CS, CFA, ICWA or FRM with first class Bachelor degree in any discipline having secured 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) in aggregate (including all years/semesters) or minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) out of 10 from institutions/universities incorporated by an act of parliament or state legislature in India or other institutions declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India or AICTE or AIU or reputed foreign university.
4] The candidate should have a valid CAT score.
