The aggregate mark means the total of marks obtained by the candidate, including all subjects as declared on the Mark sheet.
Eligibility for Direct Second-Year Admission
Candidate should be an Indian National and have passed the HSC (Std. XII) Science (Technical/Vocational) examination with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with minimum 35% marks in aggregate / SSC(10th Std) or equivalent examination with subjects English, Maths and Science and ITI (2 Years Duration) or equivalent are eligible for Direct Second Year inappropriate respective branch in case of vacancies arising after Direct Second Year Admissions as per the guidelines of the Competent Authority.
(ii) Passed 10th Std. / SSC examination or its equivalent, with at least 35% aggregate marks. Note: Other than Maharashtra State, Candidates shall be eligible for the Institute quota only.
A. For Maharashtra State Board Candidates: 1. The candidates who have passed the SSC Examination, aggregate marks shall be the total of 5 subjects taken into consideration and mentioned on the Mark sheet.
B. For ICSE Candidates: 1. Student seeking admission based on Group 1 & Group
2 subjects only, the aggregate marks shall be the total of marks in any of the 5 subjects from Group 1 & Group 2 where he/she has scored maximum marks. II. Students seeking admission based on Group 1, Group 2 & Group 3, aggregate marks shall be the total of all subjects from all groups.
Direct Second Year:
(ii) Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics/Information Technology/Biology/Informatics Practices /Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship (Any of the three).
OR 10th + (2 years ITI) shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology. (The Affiliating Body will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve the desired learning outcomes of the programme.) Note: Other than Maharashtra. State Candidates shall be eligible for the quota only.
