Admission for Marine Engineering - 4-year Course:

• Pass in HSC / (10+2) from a Recognized Board With 60% Average in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects). 50% in English, either in the 10th or 12th grade.
• Maximum 25 Yrs (Maximum age 30 years for SC/ST candidates).
• VISION-No Color Blindness, (+) or (-) 2.5 vision is allowed. Eyeglasses permitted.

Admission for Lateral Entry (Directly to join 2the nd Year of the Marine Engineering Course):

• Diploma Course in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics and Electronics Engineering 2.    Three-Year Diploma in (a) Automobile Engineering, 3. Machine Tools and Maintenance / Plant Engineering, 4.    Production Technology 5.    Production Engineering 6.    Advanced Diploma in tool and die making 7.    Three-year Diploma in Electrical Power System 8.    Three Years Diploma in (a) Digital Electronics, (b) Electronics and Communications Engineering, (c) Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, (d) Industrial Electronic,s (e) Electronics Engineerin,g (f) Electronics Production and Maintenanc,e (g) Electronic,s (h) Instrumentatio,n (i) Instrumentation and Control
• AGE LIMIT-Maximum 25 Yrs
• VISION-No Color Blindness, (+) or (-) 2.5 vision is allowed. Eyeglasses permitted.

(a) Pass in 12th Standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60%.

(b) The candidate must have secured a minimum 50% marks in the English language in the 10th or 12th standard exam (As per DGS Norms).

Relaxation of 5% in English marks will apply to candidates who are natives of the Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and belong to their Scheduled Tribes and who & both of whose parents were born in those islands & belong to the Scheduled Tribes of those islands. For SC/ST candidates: There will be a 5% relaxation in the eligibility marks of PCM; however, it will not apply to English Marks.

Note: The candidate must have passed the 10th and 12th standards from a recognized board.
