Students must have passed Class 10th or Equivalent Examinations with English, Physical Science/Science, and Mathematics among other subjects, securing at least 35% marks (without rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms, excluding the marks of the subjects taken as additional.
For LATERAL ENTRY- minimum 10+2 Vocational or 2 years ITI (passed out) course trainees can take admission through the VOCLET Entrance Examination conducted by WBSCT & VE & SD, Kolkata.
a) Qualification: The entrance examination is to test the skills and knowledge of the candidates based on their higher secondary education. The educational qualification is mentioned below.
b) Age Limit: Candidates who have reached the age of 15 can apply. Candidates born before July 2006 are eligible to apply for JEXPO. Students born after 2006 are ineligible for this year. There is no maximum age limit to apply for JEXPO.
c) Domicile: Candidates who are domiciled in the state of West Bengal are eligible to apply.
VOCLET:
a) Qualification: Must have passed/appeared* the (10+2) Examination of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Vocational Education Division) [erstwhile, West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training], or passed 2 years’ ITI at a stretch after Madhyamik OR equivalent examination passed. Appeared ITI candidates are not eligible for VOCLET. ITI trades must be of continuous 2-year duration, and the single certificate should mention the duration of the ITI course. OR Passed/appeared* 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology subjects from a recognized Board / Council / Institute. OR Passed/appeared* 10+2 (Science) with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized Board / Council / Institute. OR Passed/appeared* 10+2 (Science) with Technical Vocational Subjects from a recognized Board / Council / Institute (including CSS for VHSE).
