Candidates to be eligible for admission to the 1st BHMS course must attain the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st December of the year of his or her admission. A candidate must have passed the two-year Pre-university examination conducted by the department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, or any other examination recognized as equivalent with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects.

A candidate who has passed B.Sc. Part I examination or B.Sc. Degree Examination of any university in India with Science subjects namely Chemistry, Botany and Zoology and secured not less than 40% of marks in aggreate.

• All applicants must have completed two-year science studies at the pre-university level with aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
• For students of Indian origin: Students of Indian nationality should have passed the PUC II (10+2) in Science or equivalent examination with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Priority will be given to that students whose medium of instruction is English and have a higher percentage in PCB.
• For students of Foreign origin: Foreign students seeking admission for the BHMS Course in this college have to obtain permission from the Indian consulate/ Embassy of their country and get the necessary endorsement duty signed on their passports. They need to produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi. An ‘Eligibility certificate’ from the RGUHS, Bangalore, Karnataka is also essential.
