1. The candidate must possess a minimum qualification 10+2 (Intermediate) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (MPC) as optional subjects. 2. Candidates belonging to OC and BC must have secured 50% aggregate in 10+2 (Intermediate) level and 45% in optional subjects(MPC). 3. Candidates belonging to Reserved Category, Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe must have secured 45% aggregate and 40% in optional subjects (MPC).

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects or any other examination.

Admission to the UGP shall be made either on the basis of the merit rank obtained by the qualifying candidate at an Entrance Test conducted by the Telangana State Government (EAMCET), OR the University, OR on the basis of any other order of merit Other student activities like NCC, NSS, NSO, Study Tour, Guest Lecture etc., and identified Mandatory Courses will not carry Credits.
