The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the B.Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.

 1 . 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

2 . 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota candidates.

3 . In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake   based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

• A Candidate should have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry group subjects
• Any other Examinations equal to Intermediate Recognized by the university
• They have to qualify in the EAMCET Conducted by the Govt of A.P.
• The department provides necessary training to impart employability skills to its students.
• The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the AP Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.
