A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination (10+2).

Lateral Entry to B.Tech:  A Candidate must have passed 10+3 (Diploma in appropriate branch).

The meaning and the eligibility for admission into that category are given below:

• Category-A Seats: 70% of the total intake is earmarked for this category. These seats are filled by the Convenor, EAMCET Admissions, as per the rank secured by the students in the Entrance Examinations. To be admitted in this category, the candidate should have passed the qualifying exam (10+2) or its equivalent.
• Category-B Seats: 30% of the Intake is earmarked for this category. These seats are filled at the College level as per the guidelines issued by the State Government.
• Lateral Entry Seats( Direct Admission into Second Year of B.Tech ): 10% of the total intake is earmarked for Direct admission into B.Tech II year under Lateral entry. These seats are filled by the Convenor, ECET Admissions, as per the rank secured by the students in the Entrance Examinations.
