The candidate must hold a minimum 3-year Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a university recognized by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament, or declared as deemed to be a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
Candidates appearing for the final examinations of the Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) can also apply, subject to furnishing the evidence to that effect by 1st October 2026 or the AICTE deadline. Satisfying the above eligibility criteria is a necessary, but not sufficient, condition for an application to be considered by IBI.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the IBI Admission Selection Process. IBI would not be reimbursing the cost of travel, boarding, and lodging for any of the candidates to appear for the admission test or the personal interview.
