Candidates with H.Sc. (Academic stream) and other equivalent examinations.

A Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together 40% aggregate for MBC/DNC and SC/ST Communities, 45% for BC, and 50% for OC.

Candidates with H.Sc. (vocational stream) other equivalent examinations.

A pass with minimum average marks in any one of the related subjects, Vocational Theory and Practicals, put together 40% aggregate for MBC/DNC and SC/ST Communities, 45% for BC, and 50% for OC.

Diploma / B.Sc. Candidates (Lateral Entry)

A pass in Diploma Examination with an overall percentage of marks obtained by the candidate from the first semester to the sixth semester, put together 40% aggregate for BC, MBC/DNC, SC/ST Communities, and 45% for OC.

A pass in HSC (academic stream) /CBSE/Pre-degree/Plus 2 equivalent school study with minimum eligibility in Maths, Physics, Chemistry (Or)

A pass in HSC (vocational stream) with Engineering / Technology as vocational subjects and any 1 or 2 of the related subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry (Or)

Any equivalent qualification approved and recognised by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu and Universities in Tamil Nadu.

Candidates must have minimum pass marks according to community

Lateral Entry for Direct II Year B.E/B.Tech Programmes

A pass in 3-year Diploma courses conducted by Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education or equivalent recognised by the board in pre-final/ final semester of study.
