i. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
ii. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
Or
iii. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
iv. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates:
i. The Candidate should be an Indian National.
ii. iv. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by the University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National:
i. The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical, or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks.
ii. Any other criteria declared by the appropriate authority from time to time
Candidates who have completed Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the AIU to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII examination.
In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
