University has well maintained infrastructure. The condition of classrooms are satisfactory. Department has a decent language lab. Syllabus oriented books are available in the library. However, the internet speed in the campus is painstakingly slow. The campus is very clean and hygienic.
Learning quality English Literature is highly subjected to quality faculty, if one has 4 or 5 courses its strongly possible 50% of teachers would do their job very poorly while 50% would be highly effective. The syllabus lacks Literary theory, Criticism and other courses which are very important for the Masters entrance examination and for literature overall. You have to study lots of things all by yourself to qualify for top universities in India.
The university has a decent scope for placements, however there are no placement drives as of yet. The degree is of Hons. and is highly considered for both Masters admission and job placements. A well respected Private School can offer upto 15K and it gradually increases when you are applying for Higher Secondary, Collages, Universities and other language institutions.
The couse costs roughly 25,000 if you are considering tuition, bus/hostel and other material costs for a semester. Its not worth the money because the university hardly crosses 40 working days out of respectable 80 or 90 working days.
It's located on the foothills and has a pleasant location. But, it isn't completely safe outside university. Teachers and support staff is a mixture of arrogant people and extremely supportive people. University has enough place and opportunities for sports and related activities. The café's inside the campus are exploitative. In the offices only few people do their jobs well rest are clueless about everything.
Yes, take directions from teachers but study of your own because the course lacks many important things in syllabus. Do not miss classes and do not skip those small assignments that would add up to your CGPA and boost your grades. Be cautious of how your department works by taking a cue from your seniors.
Yes, my college (Islamic University of Science and Technology) has almost all the necessary equipment. Being an English language student there, you can have a good and advanced learning experience in the Language Lab of the college which is well maintained. Yes, living places are manageable and the food is hygienic.
I am studying English Language and Literature. I am studying it because this subject isvery interesting and something that helps to broaden the horizons of mind and to grow into a learned, experienced and a beautiful human being. Yes, the curriculum is updated. Yes, the subject i am studying makes me job-ready.
There is a good quality of placements at Islamic University of Science and Technology. Every year a large number of students get placed in the college. About the jobs and salaries at this college, i don't have any experience yet.
Per year( two semesters), my course costs near about₹32,000 as fee plus ₹14,000 as Hostel charges. Yes, i think i am getting my money's worth because i am learning a lot in this college whether academically or for the future. But, there is a lot of scope for improvement in the college. The teaching can be improved from 'good' to 'the best'. Most importantly the infrastructure particularly the tin huts that are used as classrooms for many courses should be well-built , developed and maintained.
My college campus is very good. It has bookshops shops and photostat shops which are very beneficial for the students. It also has a good canteen and a cafeteria which serve good and hygienic food and beverages. Students are good and hardworking and most of the teachers are well qualified and dedicated towards their profession. The location of my college campus is amazingly beautiful and yes it can handle emergencies.
Islamic University of Science and Technology (Awantipora, Pulwama) is a very good place of learning that can help you achieve your goal. But, as is said ,that there is always a scope for further improvement and betterment, with much more attention and dedication of the governing bodies and the support of students can make it into a more beautiful and productive source of education and enlightenment of the society.
Infrastructure is not so good as the university is under the developing stage and hence the basic facilities are still lacking. The equipments and modern facilities are not available and the classrooms are also not well maintained. The campus is overall clean and hygenic . WiFi also available and projectors , smart board etc. Library is also under constrtuction.
I have completed my B.A Honors English Language and Literature recently. I chosed to study this course because i was interested in this right from the beginning. Since ours was the first batch of honors our syallabus was complied and executed properly. Studying literature has made me more ready for any kind of job in any field.
The placement quality is good and average. They offer courses to maximum number of students. The placement process was easy for me as i was selected through the entrance test with good marks. The course was easy and i did not faced any difficulties in getting admission here.
The course offers two semesters per year which costs almost thirty thousand excluding transport facilities. I have learnt a lot from the course and university and it is i am getting what was worth desired.
The campus is safe and beautiful away from the hush and busy life of city. It is quite and easily accessible and the transport facility is also available almost on all the routes. The teacher and the staff members are cooperative and helpful. The Campus is overall safe and can handle any kind of emergencey.
The experience was good and calm
It was nicely developed though the labs were not well equipped but overall assessments were nice because the teachers were well informed. Washrooms were hygienic but college canteen needs a lot to be improved.
I pursued my MBA there and it was wonderful to have these two years. The staff was well informed and qualified and had excellent communication skills though I think there is scope for improvement. Overall it was great.
Placement strategies are not upto the mark. The only company that pursued us had no promising features and aptitude. Many of us are struggling still as the promises were not kept. They need to improve a lot in there.
In two years of college I have seen the campus for few months due to conflict here also due to covid but never was a penny lessened for us. From bus fee to tution fee everything was taken bit by bit. I think they could have done better.
Campus Life was great because of the kind of people there. Few moments spend there were worth spending asbi had a lot of fun in the playgrounds and playing badminton in College park. Overall the campus life was fun to have.
It was overall a great learning experience, a lot to learn and a lot have on mind. I learnt new ways of fun and real struggle for money and placement. I appreciate the quality of life I had past two years.
The infrastructure of our college is quite efficient. It is much better than any other universities or colleges in the region. There are an effective health care centre and an active ambulance service. Computer labs are the best of all. Sports activities are conducted. IUST has won many titles all over the country, especially in football competitions.
Faculty members are well-qualified and have good experience in teaching. Their teaching is of a good standard. They are friendly. Moreover, they make students to realise their abilities. They are helpful and great. They help you if you are in need.
The university doesn't invite companies to the campus. Once, there were certain reputed companies like IBM, Capgemini and HCL which recruited students from our college. Due to prevailing situations in the region, the chances of getting placed have decreased with time.
Different events, programmes, workshops, and celebration days are continuously organised in the university, e.g., a programme on waste management, artificial intelligence, workshop on internet of things, etc. .
The campus has good buildings. Bus facilities available are good. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, and they are 100% hygienic. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
Merit-cum-means and post metric scholarship is available for the students there. The college campus is clean and charming.
The university is still in its early stage so the infrastructure was not much developed during my time there. We did not have smart boards or wifi, etc. But there is a lot of construction of buildings going on and maybe in the near future, the infrastructure will improve.
I studied English literature and the teaching quality is fine. The curriculum was traditional and not updated in sense of exploring creative side of literature student. There is not much creative space in the curriculum as English literature curriculum usually includes.
There were no placements for the degree I was enrolled in but for other departments especially engineering, placement drives did take place. And some good company names could be seen during that time so I am assuming for such students, the salary offered would have been around 10,000 or above.
The tuition cost per year for my degree was 30,000 and if not entirely but I got around 60% of my money's worth.
The campus life is okay if you want to just be rigorous with academics then it might suit you. The university is located in Awantipora. Some teachers are really helpful and will go out of their way to ensure you excel while others are not.
No ,it needs to be developed. I studied in a hut throughout my degree. Rest of t he classrooms are well mantained. Main area of the campus is always neat and cleaner. There are always beautiful flowers there
I am studying engineering. I want to explore the world. Yes its always updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes my study is always for job ready. Its a good field for both studying and job.
My university is a quality of placements always. Most of the students vet the opportunity to settle there. Packages are always satisfactory. Not below 60 thousands are offered to a student. My college is always supportive
Its costly. It takes a lakh per session. Though the amount is large but the way teacher's teach us is outstanding. Yes i always feel that my money is worth for such a course. My money doest go waste here
Campus life was good. I enjoyed the place. I enjoyed both the fun and studies as well. Its a beautiful place. Its location is extraordinary. Student's are always engage in studies and activities. It can handel everything.
Satisfied.
Infrastructure is little overcrowded but growing day by day .The essential student facilitues are lacking somewhat but quiet edequate. The main highlight of college is its mesmering beauty and hygein8c environment which is the basic reason for its growth than other state universities.
I was studying my bachelors degree in civil engineering the faculty were merely good ,though some professor's were best among the valley. There is an awkward trend to recruit already contracted contractual lecturer's and the student feedback forms are getting no responses and actions.
To be honest ,it is better to remove this review option as the placement is completely nil whether in private sectors or public sectors.Good placement is always a dream for any student which the university is lacking in every manner
My semester fee was 30k and the fee structure is cintinously hiking due to its semi-govt nature. I think the university doesn't provide as many facilities as the fee structure demands .
The only positive point about the university is its campus. It is at the bottom of wasturwan hill which is full luah in greenry in summer and surrounded by snow during winters.although the ciricular activities are not much but the students keep themselves engage in sports ,events etc.Regarding faculty some are of humble nature and some very rude towards students especially the permenant one's. The university is safe in every means and it can handle all emergencies which come forth in any manner.
The university needs an upgradation in infrastructure, student activities like involvement of students in projects.affilation with other colleges regarding ciricular activities, upgradation of labs, and the important one non entry of locals by any means.
The university has a very good campus, leaving the department of humanities whose infrastructure is very poor and hasn't sufficient classrooms for its students. The University has good medical and hostel facilities but a very poor transport facility, which covers only the main towns, and is very scarcely allotted.
The academics is average. Though syllabus seems good yet it lacks main courses like literary theory. The contractuals teaching are also very average at pedagogy, overall I was not satisfied, neither with syllabus nor with the teachers.
Though during my course, various meetings were held for the placements of students, not a single student was placed anywhere, especially from our department, anywhere during the time. The university is very poor at that.
I paid 30,000 per year only for academics, because I had not opted for hostel facilities, which charges separately. Though I opted for bus facilities for all the six semesters, I was never given. That way the transport facility is very poor, no matter where you reside. I am not satisfied with the educational and pedagogical techniques there, for which I paid such a large sum.
The campus is over-all good no matter your religion and caste. It is quite safe, and located at a safe place, with good medical facilities. However the extracurricular activities are very scarce, and are not much encouraged.
Yes it has. But for humanities department it is not aptly consutructed. We studied in these little huts which had no heating arrangements in winter and the glasses were broken as well, it's hard to credit it well.
Instructors are well defined and qualified but it's not upto the mark. Some professors teach to another level and some just go on literary explanations. It's hard to grasp both the ends of teaching lines.
I won't rate any good for this aspect as we won't even given a recommendation letter once we left, placements are a rare thing to say about. No career counselling or guidance was given. It's hard to give stars about it.
No. We were taken a lot , be it tution fees or bus fees and we didn't received worth our money. In a month I went there a couple of days yet we had to pay a lot of money.Same with tution fees, didn't recieve as much as we expected.
Campus Life was nice. Students were never a bully and always helpful. Be it the canteen or sweepers , it's a fun family. The teachers are also helpful except the staff in administration who are bit rude.
It was a fun experience because of the people in my class. They made my experience worth appreciating and filled with love. I do have some discrepancies with the staff and administration but overall it was a good experience.
hi ,
Admission to the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering program at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is based on a combination of JEE Main scores and academic performance. Specifically, IUST allocates a 60% weightage to JEE Main (Paper-I) scores and 40% to marks from the qualifying examination.
A
Hello there,
Securing a 40 percentile in the JEE Main exam indicates that approximately 60% of candidates scored higher than you. Admission to the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is primarily based on JEE Main ranks. While specific cutoff details for IUST are not publicly available, it's important
Hi
hope you doing well
For other branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical with 68.98 percentile in JEE Mains 2024 , you may have a better chance to get admission in Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Awantipora, Jammu & Kashmir . but for branches like CSE or
