The university has a very good campus, leaving the department of humanities whose infrastructure is very poor and hasn't sufficient classrooms for its students. The University has good medical and hostel facilities but a very poor transport facility, which covers only the main towns, and is very scarcely allotted.
The academics is average. Though syllabus seems good yet it lacks main courses like literary theory. The contractuals teaching are also very average at pedagogy, overall I was not satisfied, neither with syllabus nor with the teachers.
Though during my course, various meetings were held for the placements of students, not a single student was placed anywhere, especially from our department, anywhere during the time. The university is very poor at that.
I paid 30,000 per year only for academics, because I had not opted for hostel facilities, which charges separately. Though I opted for bus facilities for all the six semesters, I was never given. That way the transport facility is very poor, no matter where you reside. I am not satisfied with the educational and pedagogical techniques there, for which I paid such a large sum.
The campus is over-all good no matter your religion and caste. It is quite safe, and located at a safe place, with good medical facilities. However the extracurricular activities are very scarce, and are not much encouraged.
Yes it has. But for humanities department it is not aptly consutructed. We studied in these little huts which had no heating arrangements in winter and the glasses were broken as well, it's hard to credit it well.
Instructors are well defined and qualified but it's not upto the mark. Some professors teach to another level and some just go on literary explanations. It's hard to grasp both the ends of teaching lines.
I won't rate any good for this aspect as we won't even given a recommendation letter once we left, placements are a rare thing to say about. No career counselling or guidance was given. It's hard to give stars about it.
No. We were taken a lot , be it tution fees or bus fees and we didn't received worth our money. In a month I went there a couple of days yet we had to pay a lot of money.Same with tution fees, didn't recieve as much as we expected.
Campus Life was nice. Students were never a bully and always helpful. Be it the canteen or sweepers , it's a fun family. The teachers are also helpful except the staff in administration who are bit rude.
It was a fun experience because of the people in my class. They made my experience worth appreciating and filled with love. I do have some discrepancies with the staff and administration but overall it was a good experience.
The campus is beautiful and well organized. Being a newly developed one the infrastructure is going good but a lot needs to be done. Classrooms need to be upgraded. Sports centre is least known in the campus. Co curricular activities never happen
I studied english honours. Some teachers have been really good and helping us greatly. I learnt alot and also it opened doors to what to do and what not while some havent helped us greatly and forced us to work ourselves.
Placement are good. however more can be done. People from iust have been part of good universities and jobs. This can be focused upon more. Alumi of iust has been efficient and settled well. A well nurtured system.
I feel much of my money has been wasted
With a good class and friends you enjoy this place alot
University is developing, this will have all the necessary facilities for students soon. Buildings have almost all the facilities bit not the huts, they don't have proper electricity. Main campus is always clean but not the whole university.
Right now I am done with my graduation in english honors. Not updated in this university as it's new to it and i am the student of it's first batch. May be it will get it's all updates and developments with time
The quality is not so good. One in a thousand students get this opportunity with a very less salary. This is not so easy as it seems to other universities. No, college is not always supportive. Hence impossible.
40000. Honestly the amount is very high. There are other A grade universities with very low course cost but this university is so expensive and does not teach so good, not worth of 15000 per semester.
This I would like to coment on personal basis. The college life was worst. There is nothing worth. Nothing is good there. The place location is the most worst, it takes ones life to reach there. No, not always.
I won't recommend the university to any normal student. Peace be with you!
The university is good as compared to other colleges when it comes to infrastructure. The uni is trying to develop its infrastructure with each passing day. The best thing is that labs are very developed laced with new technology and machines. In my perspective, the infrastructure is good enough to learn, inspire, create, develop skills and have fun.
In first year, the teachers are not good because they are on a need basis academic arrangement. But after 2 semesters, the professors are too good. The curriculum in IUST (I think) is mostly job oriented and for developing related skills.
I think when it comes to placements, IUST is the best in Jammu and Kashmir, better than NIT Srinagar. Various companies come to IUST to hire students (mostly Btech and MBA students are hired). Reputed companies like Byju's, Ashoka Leyland, Extra marks education etc. visit IUST to place students. The placement cell of the uni is quite friendly and cooperative.
I am doing Btech Cse and paying 62000 per year which is very good given the infrastructure and facilities IUST provides. The hostel fee is 13000 per year which is very cheap for a bedroom-kitchen-bathroom type room (like a flat).
The campus life is good too. Our uni's campus is so vibrant, colourful, full of enthusiasm. The life inside the campus is so great.
hi ,
Admission to the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering program at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is based on a combination of JEE Main scores and academic performance. Specifically, IUST allocates a 60% weightage to JEE Main (Paper-I) scores and 40% to marks from the qualifying examination.
A
Hello there,
Securing a 40 percentile in the JEE Main exam indicates that approximately 60% of candidates scored higher than you. Admission to the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is primarily based on JEE Main ranks. While specific cutoff details for IUST are not publicly available, it's important
Hi
hope you doing well
For other branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical with 68.98 percentile in JEE Mains 2024 , you may have a better chance to get admission in Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Awantipora, Jammu & Kashmir . but for branches like CSE or
