Islamic University of Science and Technology has a very good infrastructure_ all the buildings are almost similar in shape and many floors high, besides being red tyled. The classrooms are cozy and healthy.
The teaching staff is very good. And the syllabus especially for BA Hons is highly beneficial. It almost covers all the aspects, and is made easily understandable by the teahers especially the ones permenant.
The placements opportunities in the humanities especially English department are very average. Scarcely, any student has been placed anywhere. In our own batch no one was placed. And none of my friends from other departments also.
The fee I paid for the three years of degree is almost 1 lakh, 30000 per year excluding hostel facilities. I feel it is satisfying because I learnt a lot from there and the university is private, therefore quite comfortable.
Campus Life is good and enjoyable and also a secular one. Recently I have made friends with a student frm Africa. He seemed to be very happy in being at IUST also in Kashmir.
All the buildings including library, convocation hall, auditorium are well built. Besides, a number of buildings are under_constructiin. Classrooms are well furnished and very clean providing a study_support environment
The faculty as well the staff are very supportive. The teachers especially are dedicated, and are always available for help. There are sufficient books available for the engineering course and humanities also.
The placement options are very poor. Though there is a contineous effort from the university to provide students with best opportunities, yet students are not being placed anywhere. Hope in future, university resolves the issue.
I personally feel there can be improvements in satisfying students, yet the environment of conflict hindering the studies and the efforts from the university to resolve them makesbme feel satisfied at least partially
It is congenial
No 1 college with great infrastructure... All facilities available, good washrooms, nice play ground, beautiful outlook etc. The university has a compact sized campus. A lot of departments has ac's installed.
The teaching is full of quality. Teachers give their best in teaching the students. And most of the times students gain a lot from this. Teacher student interaction is also good. Everyone appreciates it.
Many companies visit the campus each year to recruit new students to their companies. The placement rate is average given that a lot of unemployment is there. Also many students have found a job after graduating from the University
Well, it's close to value for money aspect.
I consider it one of the best colleges in India with great posture and adaptibility. Although the campus size isn't huge, but the infrastacture is good enough to support the Number of students already studying here.
it's beautiful college... Teaching faculty is too good with great mindset and approach... Student university coordination is friendly. There is a hill in the backdrops of the college making it a better landscape.
Ifrasteucture is good. The buildings are very strong and tyled, and are collected near a mountain range. The road to the university is aslo the same road which goes to Aims, being constructed near the sight.
Academics is average. Certain teachers are good and certain avearge. All the books are good, however library lacks good content. All the books are there but humanties lacks good good syllabus and books
The placement opportunities are very poor, especailly from the department of humanties. No students have been placed and lacks affiliation with good colleges. Though it has certain affiliations, yet seems fruitless.
Currently studying in honours BA my fee is rs fiftreen thousand per semester, hence thirty thousand a year, along with othet charges sums upto fourteen thousand. However i feel i m being highly charged.
Campus life is moderate. It is both good as well as bad . It is good when it comes to thr location of university its infeastrastructure and friends but bad when it comes to education. Therebis no exposure of studies, you will hardly find any student studying outside library and a very few inside the libraray. The university needs to improve the syallbus also and provide traspirt facilties also, which seems to be based on recommendations only . If u dont have a recommendation, you can get the tra
Infrastructure is good though not for all. It is yet emerging in infrastructure. Our classroom was like a hut. No wifi connections were available there and nothing like smart boards or classroom were for us. Place is good but not so clean.
I was doing BA Honors English and preferably choose this field becoz there was passion For me in this subject. The quality of teaching is not balancing one. The understanding is wanting and teacher find it difficult to manage Syllabus due to Which students have to Face the consequences. There is nothing apart from academics. Classes, Exams and result.
There is no option for placement in this particular subject in this university. For graduate it is overall difficult to have placement in the university. Such option should be there but unfortunately isn't.
Around 50k-60k was the amount that costed a year. The worth of paid amount wasn't equivalent partly because of prevailing situation in valley and partly due to lack of requirements from infrastructure, teaching and other staff.
Campus life was better made by the friends and colleagues. Some cafe and restaurant added to it as well. Activities in which students can engage themselves are not enough. The students r good , teachers and staff are both some very helpful and friendly while others are otherwise. The location is not so good.
The university has the best infrastructure and is still developing. Situated among the mountains, it is free from noise and the constructions are very beautiful. A new library and a new convocation hall are being made
I am currently studying in BA Honours English and have completed it recently. The faculty is not so very good except the permanent one. The libarary is also very poor regarding books especially in our dept.
The unv. has very poor placement availability. So far no student has been placed anyhwere from any humanity department leave apart English. However steps are being taken to improve and off the students such facility.
The money I have paid for my degree seems more than i got form the university. They don't teach much there, however charge a high fee of rupees thirty thousand per year along with many other dues and transport.
Enjoyed the campus life with classmates and in the location, howeverbwas continuously disturbed due to less caring contractuals who seemed to not bother about us but about their picnics and daily tours.
The university is undergoing construction and improving it's infrastructure. It doesn't have a WiFi availability for students. The hostels are well equipped with basic necessities but the food isn't as good.
I'm a student of management and as much as I expect a well versed environment in the management school, it's not up to the mark. The university still needs to upgrade it's system and bring about the essence of studying in a business school. The initially established buildings need to be improved much.
Since there aren't many companies in Kashmir, besides government sector, banks and educational institutions are the only service sectors but the degree holder may apply anywhere in the country or abroad and the degree is valid.
I pay 50k per year, which is a somewhat expensive for what we get in turn.
The campus life is very boring and unlike other universities, a student won't get to experience any parties or functions. Debates or seminars are conducted which may be interesting for some. Besides this, the sports department has started showing much interest in organising sports events, camps, treks, and outings. The location is very safe because it's surrounded by residential area and there's a police station near by. In case of emergency, the University makes sure that every student is safe.
The University env is very free and safe. People are very friendly and helpful. With reference to education, the University is heading to improvements and your suggestions or criticism is most welcome.
College infrastructure is good given that it's not that old college. Building's are good too, there are separate buildings for every department. There is a hill that surrounds the university. The red buildings in foot of green hills are a treat to eyes.
The quality of teaching is good. The teacher student bond is even better. One thing. I liked it the interaction level in class room. The staff too is well qualified and experienced. I suggest everyone is join the university.
Many students have already found themselves a good job after completing their education from IUST. Despite the scarcity of jobs in today's world, IUST has a good job record. A lot of PHD holders are working as professors in IUST today.
I had to pay 20k per semester. Given todays expensive world it's not a big sum.
Hostel is fun. Campus life is probably the best.
I totally loved the experience in this college. I suggest new commers to give this a try.
As for as my personal experience is concerned ,i have not enjoyed much facilities related to classroom.library of this institution is really worth. The surrounding of the institution are clean and green.
I am pursuing bachelor's in English literature, i feel blessed to be in this field .It has made my vision vast and helped me to have a revolting spirit against the social convention prevailing in the society.
It not so worth but with passage of time it will be better. The average salary offered is 25000.The placement process was pleasant and supportive. It is pleasure to be in the campus and enjoy the facilities.
The total cost for my course per year is Rs 32000.No,i dont feel it is really worth because most of the time we study by ourselves and often what is required is not taught to us.
I have almost spent two years in this campus and these two years are full of memories. It is awesome to enjoy the view of campus surrounded by mountains .The teachers of campus are really supportive and always have lent a helping hand to me.
University has well maintained infrastructure. The condition of classrooms are satisfactory. Department has a decent language lab. Syllabus oriented books are available in the library. However, the internet speed in the campus is painstakingly slow. The campus is very clean and hygienic.
Learning quality English Literature is highly subjected to quality faculty, if one has 4 or 5 courses its strongly possible 50% of teachers would do their job very poorly while 50% would be highly effective. The syllabus lacks Literary theory, Criticism and other courses which are very important for the Masters entrance examination and for literature overall. You have to study lots of things all by yourself to qualify for top universities in India.
The university has a decent scope for placements, however there are no placement drives as of yet. The degree is of Hons. and is highly considered for both Masters admission and job placements. A well respected Private School can offer upto 15K and it gradually increases when you are applying for Higher Secondary, Collages, Universities and other language institutions.
The couse costs roughly 25,000 if you are considering tuition, bus/hostel and other material costs for a semester. Its not worth the money because the university hardly crosses 40 working days out of respectable 80 or 90 working days.
It's located on the foothills and has a pleasant location. But, it isn't completely safe outside university. Teachers and support staff is a mixture of arrogant people and extremely supportive people. University has enough place and opportunities for sports and related activities. The café's inside the campus are exploitative. In the offices only few people do their jobs well rest are clueless about everything.
Yes, take directions from teachers but study of your own because the course lacks many important things in syllabus. Do not miss classes and do not skip those small assignments that would add up to your CGPA and boost your grades. Be cautious of how your department works by taking a cue from your seniors.
hi ,
Admission to the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering program at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is based on a combination of JEE Main scores and academic performance. Specifically, IUST allocates a 60% weightage to JEE Main (Paper-I) scores and 40% to marks from the qualifying examination.
