Admission to the college is made in accordance with the prescribed rules of the Karnataka Government for all categories of candidates. All admissions are made through one of the common entrance tests (Karnataka CET, COMED-K, AIEEE, or any other Government-recognized entrance exam). Other Students are required to apply directly to the Principal of the College for Application. 

The candidate should pass the two-year Pre-University Examination or its equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics (Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, and Computer Science; any one of these subjects is optional for the third subject) (for SC/ST 40%).

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects/Computer Science/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in the case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
