• Admission to the above programs will be based on the All India Rank of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains), which is conducted by CBSE. Therefore, candidates who are appearing for JEE Main can only apply for these programs.

• Admission to the above programs will also be taken based on the passing marks of the qualifying examination against the vacant seats after JEE round.

• The short-listed candidates, based on the All India Ranking of JEE Main/ qualifying examination percentage will be offered admission (confirmed/ waitlisted) in order of their merit by DTE.

Out of the total seats 45% of the seats are filled by the common entrance test conducted by karnataka examination authority (KEA), 30% of seats are filled through common entrance test conducted by private mangements association (COMED-K) and 25% by management, all by merit.

• The minimum academic qualification for admission to the programs is that the candidate must have passed the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent.

• The candidate must have passed the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

• The candidate must have a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the case general category and 40% in the case reserve category (ST/SC/OBC).

The basic qualification for eligibility for admission t o B.E. program s is two year Pre-University or 12th Standard or equivalent examination (hereinafter referred to as the Qualifying Examination or Q.E ). The candidate should have taken Physics and Mathematics as compulsory course s along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / Electronics as optional course s and English as one of the languages of study in the Q .E. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q .E with an aggregate minimum of 45% marks in the optional course s in the Q.E (40% of marks in Q.E in case of SC, ST & OBC Category candidates) for eligibility . The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / Electronics in the Q.E., will be considered in place of Chemistry, only for the purpose of determination of eligibility and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of Engineering programme.
