Should have completed 17 years of age and not exceeding 28 years on or before 31^st December of the year of admission. Passed two-year pre-university examination with physics, chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General candidates and 40% or more aggregate marks for ST/SC and physically challenged candidates. A domicile certificate of continuous 5 years' stay in West Bengal on the date of application. Should be medically fit.

Eligibility for Admission 

1. Candidates with Science should have passed the
qualifying examination (10+2) from any recognized board. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of
45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and
Biology at the qualifying examination (10 +2) and
passed in English individually. There is 5% relaxation
in the mark requirement for all the SC/ST candidates.

2. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission.

3. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years as on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought

4. Candidates shall be medically fit.
5. Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that
colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn
by such candidates
