First of all congrats for securing 17.9k rank in wbjee 2019 . As per my knowledge students below 1k ranks are eligible for almost all top colleges(it will be little tough if you are from general category) . So you have very low chance of securing good
As per your rank in obc category you may have chance to get admissions into a government college. Since you are a privileged section then actually you can get a seat. Choice of branch may be a factor of concern. However wait for the counselling proceedings to begin.
