Securing a government college seat for mainstream courses like MBBS or BDS with 250 marks is unlikely, even under the SC category, though you qualify to participate in counselling. Government admission cutoffs for SC candidates generally start around 420 to 450 marks.

Im planning to appear for only Physics through NIOS under the Dual Enrollment scheme, so I will have a CBSE marksheet and a separate NIOS marksheet. After qualifying NEET, will this combination be accepted for MBBS admission during counselling? Or do I need a single Class 12 marksheet from one board?"

Samyak Jain 3rd Aug, 2026

I am a rbse student. I have completed 12th this year (2026) as a pcb student. If i add maths as additional subject next year (2027) from nios will i be able to give jee and get admission also.

Samyak Jain 4th Aug, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

Yes, you can give JEE Main and get college admission by clearing Mathematics as an additional subject through NIOS, provided you hold valid marksheets for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. However, dual marksheets from different boards can sometimes complicate counseling verification.

Hope it helps!
