The admission in M.Tech program in IITs are done on the basis of Gate so if you wish to get into IIT-Hyderabad then you will have to clear Gate entrance with required score.

The admissions are based on 12th merit and if you have required percentage then gap wont create any problem but few colleges may be asking for an affidavit to be submitted. Also, the cut off varies college, year and course wise so to get a rough idea about the required

According to the eligibility criteria of DU JAT 2017, candidates who had appeared for an improvement exam could not apply for the exam but could apply the next year. there are chances that the eligibility criteria would remain the same this year as well.

Eligibility criteria for IISc

Dear Shruti,

You can take admission in IISc through KVPY, NEET and JEE Advanced. 

In order to be eligible you must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination.
