What is the full form of HOW?

How generally is a part of the WH question. It is basically used to describe in what manner the process takes place.

HOW as an adverb

In explaining what way or what method , HOW is used as an adverb.

Examples:

• How do we get to the town from here? How do we get there?

• How were you made aware of the concert?

• How does this device operate ?

• Everything depends on how you view it.

• I dress however I choose, and I don't care about fashion.

• When I learned how (= how) she had been treated, I was appalled.

• How could he possibly be so stupid?

• How someone could think that is beyond me.

Used to inquire about someone's emotional or physical well-being

Examples:

• How's your mom doing?

• How are your feelings right now?

Used when describing an experience or occurrence in a question

Examples:

• Your flight, how was it?

• How was the lecture for you? (=did you believe it to be good)?

• How was the concert for you (i.e., did you like it)?

• She omitted to mention the distance to her residence or how far it is.

• How much time (i.e., how long you will spend) will you be using the restroom?

• Do you have any idea how many (= how many) people are coming?

• What is the price of this, or how much does it cost?

HOW as a noun

It can be used for asking manner or method

Examples:

• How about this: What do you say or consider, are you going?

• How come: How does that come about?

• Why are you unable to go?
