What is the full form of HPSC?

The Haryana Public Service Commission also referred to as HPSC, is a government organization and the supreme constitutional body of the state of Haryana. It oversees holding competitive exams and civil service examinations to choose qualified applicants for various departmental and civil service positions. It is a judicial body that comes under the state of the Haryana government.

Since admission to all stages of the test is conditional upon meeting the requirements for eligibility as set forth by the HPSC, it is crucial for candidates applying for the examination to have a full understanding of the eligibility criteria to ensure that they meet all requirements. The Commission only verifies a candidate's eligibility requirements concerning the original documents after the candidate has qualified for the Main Written Examination/Interview, and the Commission's determination of a candidate's eligibility is final. The candidate's nationality, educational background, age restriction, and physical requirements make up the eligibility requirements for the HPSC HCS Exam.

History of HPSC

The HPSC was established on November 1, 1966, when Haryana State was established following India's freedom movement. It was initially created under the Punjab Reorganisation Act of 1966. State governments may establish a state public service commission thanks to the Government of India Act of 1935.
