Admission
Hii,
Yes, you can. Polytechnic diploma in Mechanical Engineering requires only 10th pass. You don’t need to clear 12th for this course. Many private polytechnic colleges offer direct admissions under management quota without any entrance. You just need to provide your 10th marksheet, transfer certificate (TC), and ID proof. It’s advisable to choose a college approved by AICTE so that later you can apply for B.Tech through lateral entry. Also, management seats might cost more, but admissions stay open longer than in government counseling. So yes, even if you couldn’t pass 12th, diploma is a good option.
Hope you will find it helpful!

good afternoon, yes, BBOSE (Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination) is a recognized board under the Government of Bihar, and its 12th-grade certificate is generally valid for admission to engineering programs in private universities across India.
Recognition Status
BBOSE is officially recognized, so students are eligible to appear in entrance exams like JEE Main, CUET, or university-specific tests.
Most private universities like SRM, LPU, VIT, and Manipal accept students from recognized boards, including BBOSE.
Exceptions
Some private colleges may have internal policies or preferences for traditional boards (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards).
Always check the eligibility criteria on the university’s official website or contact their admission office directly.
Hi
A KCET rank of 30,915 can still offer you a good range of options, especially under the state quota and depending on your category . While top government colleges like UVCE or RVCE may be slightly out of reach at this rank, there are still several good engineering colleges that accept ranks around this range for various branches, especially in core and emerging areas. Some of the colleges you might get into include Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, JSSATE, or Acharya Institute of Technology, in branches like Mechanical, Civil, EEE, or newer programs like AI & ML in less competitive colleges. Counseling plays a huge role here, and choice filling should be done smartly by analyzing previous year cutoff trends.

HELLO,
To determine the marks required for SC/BC open students at as specific college for a particular course , you will need to specify the college or for a particular course you have to specify the college and course .
General guidelines suggest that for open category students need a minimum of 80% for Delhi University off Campus BA programs while honors courses could require upwards of 90%
