Hello,
The NEET 2025 cutoff for BAMS will be released after the exam results. But as per previous years, general category students usually need around 420+ marks for government BAMS colleges.
For OBC and EWS, it’s also close to 410–420, while SC and ST categories may get seats with 280–320
Hello Reet,
With 230 marks in NEET under the General category, getting a seat in private BAMS colleges is possible but may vary by college and state.
Many private BAMS colleges have lower cutoffs than government colleges, often accepting scores around 200–250 marks.
Admission chances improve if you apply to
Unfortunately no, without Neet, it is challenging to gain direct admission to BHMS. Most BHMS colleges used Neet results for admission, and certain private colleges may have management quota seats available, however these are also filled through the KEA counselling procedure, which also requires a valid Neet score.
Getting a private BAMS seat this year would be very hard for those who scored 134 in NEET. Majority of private colleges need scores higher than 85 percentile for general candidates. There could be changes for the reserved categories, but 134 is much lower than most average admission marks.

Hello there,
With a NEET 2025 score of 250, admission to a BAMS program is possible but depends on the category and college cutoff.
For ST category, the qualifying cutoff is around 125-160 marks. Your score of 250 is above this, which makes you eligible.
Admission to government BAMS colleges
With around 300 marks in the NEET, your chances of getting into a government BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) college are very low, especially if you are from the general category. It's more likely that you will be able to secure a seat in a private BAMS college
Based on data from prior years, candidates should aim for closure ranking between 28,977 and 623,112 for the lowest cutoff in government BAMS colleges. Colleges with different cutoff ranges - some more difficult than others - include JB Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College, National Institute of Ayurvedic and others.
With 115 marks in NEET, it is very unlikely to get a government BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) seat, even under reserved categories. The cutoff for BAMS in government colleges is generally much higher, often above 400 for unreserved and around 300–350 for reserved categories.
However,
Depending on your category and the particular college, your NEET score should ideally be higher than 400 in order to be admitted to a government BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) college in 2025. For example, the top BAMS government colleges' closing ranks in 2024 varied from roughly
