That depends upon your subjects in class 12th and also the career field you wan to go in. It if very difficult to tell you anything with the minimal information you have provided. Moreover taking a drop doesn't affect admission in graduation or diploma courses.

Hi Arnab, 

If your question is if you can appear for KVPY after taking a drop year then the answer is yes, you can definitely do that. You can attend some other college meanwhile but you cannot pursue two different regular graduation courses at the same time.
