Nil Choudhury Student Expert 15th Jun, 2019
Dear aspirant,
In order to secure a seat in NIT one from reserved category must get 65% or up in boards. As specified by you you've got 63 in 12th boards which is not enough to clear the cut.

I am central gov.employee my child complete his 10 and 12 in haryana, but we are from Maharashtra how can I got 85 % quotas

Nil Choudhury Student Expert 15th Jun, 2019
Dear aspirant,
According to new rules applicable from 2017 you do not need a domicile certificate as you'd be in a special type of candidate category.
Since you were from Maharashtra if you have a domicile certificate then that's sufficient for your kid. As he/she/they would be a Type-B candidate.

I did my 10th from Delhi but not 12th can I eligible for 85%delhi quota if I have Delhi domicile. Please answer!

rohitsharma11607088_8414200 Student Expert 15th Jun, 2019

Yes, dear Sandeep, you have Delhi domicile then you are eligible for quota or reservation. Domicile is the proof of the permanent address of the candidate and it doesn't depend upon whether you have done 10th or 12th schooling, its directly depend upon your permanent address.

Harshit_958 Student Expert 15th Jun, 2019

Hi Shubham,

For general category candidates to be eligible for admission in IITs/NITs, you must have scored at least 75% or should be top 20% of your board. There is a relaxation of 10% for candidates of SC/ST/PWD category. If you don't have that you won't be eligible for admission.
