for good branches, you must keep your rank in the range of 500. as you must be knowing that the marks requirement is different for different colleges. the closing rank for mechanical is 10 lac.

The cutoff for COEP went to 163 out of 200 this year.

Yes you can get admission in second year of engineering in coep but before that you have to complete the diploma course in your field and then apply for the counseling on the basis of your marks obtained in diploma course.
