Microbiology can be divided into different categories such as medical microbiology, applied microbiology, industrial microbiology, marine microbiology, agriculture microbiology and so on. Duration of the M.Sc. course in this discipline except medical microbiology is two years.

If you are of generl PH category you will probably get NIT Kurukshetra or NIT Bhopal 

Other wise if you belongs to ST category you have much better choice of colleges than any other category
