MCM course is exclusively designed to create software professionals, especially for software commercial applications. This PG course is very comprehensive, and meets the current requirements of the IT industry. The duration of the course is two years, which is divided into four successive semesters of six months each.
Actually I am sceptical about the chances as most of the MCA courses including the lateral entry ones ask for a regular degree course. Diploma especially distance ones are not given preference. Have you also pursued any other graduation or just the PG Diploma in Computer applications? The reason is
Hello Shivani, Yes there is the entrance exam for BCA, normally it held every year. Different college conduct exam on different month (April/May/June) which contains questions related to Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General English and General awareness.

Please focus on your preparation, mainly in maths. Try to solve mock papers and if you can find some previous NIMCET papers nothing is better than that.
