In this case you must have a got a seat because then only you will have to pay 40k.

When you will be allotted a college then only you have to pay 40k as part academic fees and further report to college for post verification of documents and rest fees payment.

Actually, it is the rule of most of the private college that if you cancel your admission after confirming your seat then you will have to pay a penalty, which may go as high as up to 100%. This could be a trick to restrict students, from unnecessarily booking a seat because of which further candidates don't get admission call.

You may contact the admission office of the respective college.
